My review for the product and how it works is 5-star. Very simple plug and play, no instructions required.My review for the design of the product is about 2-3 star. This product needs to be offered in various sizes. If it’s going to be used for a primarily outdoor weather camera, it’s should be small enough or geometric strategic enough to fit in a 1 or 2-gang outdoor electrical box. The way it’s made you basically have 7 inches of linear product which does not fit into anything convenient. I eventually just had to remove the outer box covering on the device to fit the part in the weather box I ordered.Suggestion: make the Ethernet port on a “dongle cord” too as well as shrink the length of the device into something a little more compact. Installing this into something other than an open wall is impossible.

The design works, initially and well . But we have a have had a 100% failure rate on these even though we have been using them indoors. I would also be nice to be able to get one that only had the USB without the Ethernet.These were all used in Nest Cam Indoor purposes. These were no used for the outdoor models, which we were considering using them for also.We bought these Oct 17th 2017. The first one failed within 6 weeks. The last one failed about 2 weeks ago. So at the outside we are getting about 7-8 months best case scenario.We bought these with the intent of being able to reboot nest cams via a POE switch. We used more than one kind of switch at several locations. So not the switches. We also had one non Nest Cam that used these for also. That one also failed. We later bought a different brand and have not had a problem. I would have paid more for an adapter that I could rely on 3000 miles away. They are a lot cheaper than a plane ticket.Considering all the spaces were conditioned, you can't blame the elements, excess heat or humidity. All the systems were on UPSs/power conditioners so it was not a power fluctuation issue.

Felt cheap. Had trouble plugging the nest cam connection into the usb. Tabs kept bending. Sad considering how old the ISB tech is. I would have gladly paid more for better quality

This was a breeze to get working! I have two outdoor Nest Cams that I needed to place in areas of my home that didn't have any power outlets nearby. Instead of hiring a contractor to come install outlets at these locations, I was able to run ethernet cables myself & connect them to my PoE switch in order to provide the necessary power to run the Nest Cams. There's no configuration needed on these devices. You just plug them up & go on about your day!

This works. It did the trick. I wanted to mount a Dropcam near where I had an Ethernet connection. Instead of running a wire to a standard power outlet and have the wire run up the wall. I got this and connected to a POE switch, I pushed the wires in the wall, so all you see is the micro usb coming out and the it connects to the camera. I would imagine this would be great for somone who is replacing POE IP cameras with Nestcams.

Using them to power 2 new Logitech Circle 2 outdoor cams where Cat 5e POE lines exists. They seem to work well. My only criticism, and it has more to do with my physical installation than the devices themselves, is that I wish they were a little smaller package which would have made it easier to install in the existing 4x4 junction box. As long as they continue to function, though, I'll be a very happy camper.

Worked just described. Easy to use. Setup my Nest camera to a POE system. Couldn’t be happier. I will buy this again if needed. Oh yeah, shipping was quick as well.

Tested on POE outlets in my office and would not power iPads or iPhones. It might work for other small devices, but not for what we need here. Thanks.

I originally ordered two of these products to power some wall mounted iPads and they didn't work, after some communication with Wasserstein they sent me out two more which have worked perfectly since so I cannot fault the company at all and at the end I have what I bought.They are working at a distance of 20mUPDATE 3rd Oct 2018 - I bought 10 more for expansion, not one of them works with either iPad 2 or iPad Air

Have it plugged into a Unifi Switch 8 POE-150W supplies power to Nest Cam outdoor however I notice it drops the power and the neutral reboots a few times a day (blue light) Direct power from supplied nest cam USB block does not drop. Not sure if issue with this item or not working fully with Unifi kit.

False advertising. It powers best cam but does not eliminate need to drill a big hole in wall. Does not data supply nest cam. You still need to pass nests big usb connection through the wall.

Great product for putting a Raspberry Pi up in the attic and not needing to run a separate power cable. Working exactly as expected.

We used this to power a USB device from a POE switch, works great.
