The USB ports do work, but the hdmi port wouldn't work with a 6ft cable from the back
The USB ports do work, but the hdmi port wouldn't work with a 6ft cable from the back 12.1 double din head-unit. Thankfully a 3ft cable did in fact work. It transfered both video and audio to a pair of rear monitors supported by the two headrest supports.

Great little solution for a JVC or Kenwood head unit.
I was looking for an elegant solution for the JVC KW-Z1000 head unit. It has one (1) USB out (ugh!), and 1 HDMI input. This product is an elegant solution to a USB that is used for media (and not for charging) and an HDMI for a Roku. The unit fits in the factory (switched) location in the 1st gen sequoia, but it's a bit of a hassle to pull out. The other nuisance was that the HDMI plug is too large for the JVC headunit, so I had to use an extension just as an easy fix. But now--I have an elegant solution for both HMDI input and for a tiny USB stick to hold my music & media.I've since found this same concept in a standard toyota plug--which would have also solved the same problem and retained the cigarette lighter. So that may have been the better option... to use the toyota plug for the USB/HDMI to the head unit, and then a USB-charger/volt meter for the switched factory cigarette lighter ... which may have been an even more elegant solution. But regardless--I'm still satisfied.

Great for DND table!
I built my husband and I a DND table, there’s a screen in the middle and we usually hook my laptop into it, this specific piece made it so easy and look amazing!

Perfect for the Oculus Rift!
I use this to bring the ports for my Rift to the front of my desk, taking the strain off of the ports on my PC, and giving me another foot or two of movement. One warning though, if you go with the 6ft version, you may have issues where the USB port is a bit unreliable, at least at full speed. This is not the cable’s fault, as USB 3 has a relatively short maximum cable length, and a six foot extension, plus the length of the rift cable, is really pushing that limit. I had frequent issues with my rift losing tracking. After they finally had the 3ft version in stock, I gave it a whirl, and I have zero issues now.

I wasted my money
I didn't get to use it because I only have the USB port on my pioneer deck
