I've used this for years now and my delicate bird approves.After hurricaine Ian - my bird caught mites from the chickens we sheltered with-I sprayed his cage and my home and within 24 hours we were 100% bug free. Even the gnats that used to plague the kitchen sink, the ants that marched in through the cracked tile, and the spidermites that infected my plants - all gone.The dissappearance of the ALLERGENS alone is enough to keep this on stock but it also kills fast both on contact and as a treatment but most importantly - it doesn't harm my parrot. I take my bird to another room and mist his cage and surrounding area ,then wait 30 mins and redo his food and water and bring him back. I make sure to remove all food, water, treats ect!Then I do the other rooms in the house. I spray a mist under beds, on the beds , inside closets, walls, corners, baseboards, carpets , curtains, everything! I Mist everything once a month and I haven't seen a bug in 2 years.Our local church uses it on donations to prevent bedbug infestations - trust me - this works and without making you sick!

Let my house rabbit outside to run around & before I knew what it was, she was over taken by mites. Vet got her on medication but the house was showing signs of mite activity so I started using a massive shop vac to go over the house daily, I was washing everything in hot water & putting in dryer & I even paid $200+for something called LivePure ultramite system which I was mostly using on beds & furniture, that helped a lot but they did not go away. Then I ordered PREMO in a spray bottle & started using it as soon as it arrived on the 13th. The scent is not bad but it does affect negatively the throat & gave me a headache. I opened windows for about 30-45 minutes & I continued using the shop vac daily. We got Permethrin & Ivermectin prescriptions from our doctor. The second order of this product I believe it is a gallon, arrived on the 19th. I would consistently shake it & pour slowly onto the spray bottle to be able to shake & spray since the ingredients need constant mixing to work, by the 21st we had placed ALL of our belongings in black plastic bags & placed them in garage, we turned on the heat inside the house & the temperature outside for the week was going to be close or over 90 & we checked ourselves in a hotel for four nights!! The rabbit was put up with a friend while all this was going on. When we returned we did not bring anything in the house until each bag had been opened & either heated or frozen in a deep chest freezer in the garage, by the way, it seems to me that the freezer works better than the dryer to kill the mites. Anyhow, the mites were still present in the house, especially in the linen closet & the rabbit’s room, I could feel them crawling onto my feet & climbing up my legs. I continued using shop vac, this product, the LivePure system & our medication had to be refilled. The moral of this story, PREMO DOES NOT work to kill mites. We have spent so much money between Doctor, Vet, hotel, LivePure, PREMO, medications, three meals out daily & the never ending washing of everything you remove from your body daily as well as changing the beds daily & we are still struggling with them. It is hard to understand how in a house where there was such excessive cleaning prior to this, such an infestation could happen.

It all started after we moved to a new place. At first we couldn't figure out where the bites were coming from and my wife and I thought they were from fleas. But after I was able to get rid of the rats that were nesting in the walls we realized that we had two types of mites entering our place: bird mites and rodent mites. It was a horrible nightmare and all out war. We caught the mites with scotch tape and used a loupe to check what type they were. They were easy for us to see since our countertops and tiles are white, and they get bright red after feeding.What helped us: I tried to seal all the cracks that I could find where we saw the mites the most which were the bathroom and kitchen. I used a clear silicone caulk and that stopped any new ones from coming in. I even blocked the bathroom vent fan and there are some mites trying to get through the plastic. So nasty. Then after that we sprayed this on a dry Swiffer pad like in other reviews and wiped the floors. We did a lot of laundry with Borax. Thankfully we were able to clear our bedroom first of the mites. We made sure to keep our bedroom clean and methodically only wore pajamas in bed and did not wear them around the house. We also washed the sheets regularly and sprayed the mattress, pillows, and duvet with this. We also used the spray on our futon and cushions and it really does help. Every other day is recommended and sometimes we started to get lazy after things started to clear up but I would recommend spraying every other day. The spray definitely made a huge difference compared to just laundry alone.Thankfully we have been able to get rid of the mites after a few months of restless nights and severe itching! I would definitely recommend this spray, Borax for laundry, and stopping up any crevices the mites can come through.I hope you never have to read this review but if you do, this product worked for us.
