I had a big project coming up to remove the weeds, including roots intact, from my mulch beds. In total, there was 5,000 square feet of landscaping mulch beds to remove weeds from. So I wanted to be sure I would be using whichever tool was fastest/easiest/most effective. So I purchased 5 different tools, most of which were at the highest end of the price range. I tried all five out on my mulch beds. This tool won the “tryout”. It is sharp enough and narrow enough to be plunged as deeply as the bottom of the roots. It is sturdy enough to pry the deep roots out without any hint of bending. Yet it is wide enough to dig up broad clusters of weeds when that is also needed. It seems this tool was designed by a user. Great tool!!! I then bought extras for gifts to family and friends.

All of my life I had to use tools that were too small - not made for men. Also, the tools are getting more and more flimsy - many breaking after one or just a few times of use. This tool is outstanding. A heavy duty tool made for men. I love it!

Well-designed and built like a tank. Although it is an altogether different tool than a traditional Hori-Hori knife, it is a Ninja warrior for the fast “termination with extreme prejudice” of deep-rooted weeds. It also has good functionality as a hole digger for planting; the efficient blade geometry and very good soil penetration more than make up for the fact that it lacks the volume of a conventional garden scoop. Quite good right out of the box, but I decided to sharpen mine because I have the tools and knowledge to do that safely and effectively. You will appreciate owning and using this tool even though it is not inexpensive to purchase.

The offset handle is thought to help your wrist, but the knife is much heavier than other options, which I think is to much greater detriment. The flat edge side is not sharp at all. I didn't feel this really met my expectations or needs for a horihori knife and went with an AM Leonard. Other options are probably better as well.

This is without a doubt one of the best gardening purchases I ever made. It is the perfect size, shape, weight and design for a digging tool ever . . . and I've been gardening for over forty years and bought a lot of tools. Wish I had found it years ago . . . gardeners in the family will be getting it for Christmas. You won't be disappointed.

Good tool. Just a bit on the high side for what your getting. But overall Good

This garden tool is a must for the avid gardener's artillery.

Love this knife. I use it every day to dig flowers and weeds.
