Of the few different “survival foods” I purchased about 6 years ago, these are the most palatable, and are easy to snack on even in non zombi apocalypse scenarios. The have a mild, malty flavor which is not too sweet. They are not oily or tasting of stale coconut as did the other biscuit type bunker rations I tried.It’s my opinion that the plastic bottle these are packaged in needs to be kept dry and is not particularly well sealed against water exposure. While the biscuit style ration is not very appetizing, they are vacuum sealed and could remain edible (if unappetizing) for weeks underwater. Constrast that to the screw top ungasketed bottle lids chances of keeping serious water out. I’d probably get food grade dessicant and transfer the tablets into Mason jars if I wanted to maximize shelf life.
