It does protect your AirPods however it becomes a bit uncomfortable when using a charger station, as it gets thicker and doesn’t fit properly into the charging station

The cover works but doesn't fit the lid as well as it should, too small.

People that are complaining about it not fitting is because they are getting it for their airpod pros. This is only for AirPods 3rd generation.
