A hot sweaty mess
I wanted to wait for a really hot day to try this sweat proof shirt and I also wore a tight shirt as well, to see if the sweat would seep through. It's eighty six degrees today, the hottest day of the year in Cincinnati so far. I remember the days of horror and discomfort when I would work in fast food around the hot grills and they would require the staff to wear horrible white shirts, for all sweat and grease to show. I would drive to work on a hot day and even before getting started, I would hide in the bathroom and put my armpits under the hand dryer to try to dry the sweat that had already soaked my shirt. Church days were embarrassing too, when I would have to stand up in front of everyone and direct the music, having taped washclothes to my pits. That was effective, but it hurts. Hot or cold days, I sweat. I tried many different expensive deodorants. None worked. I don't like being restricted with what I might wear, I get tired of that, so I decided to go ahead and give this shirt a try. So far so good. I work in factories now and most aren't temperature controlled, so, again, I need a life saver. I think this is it. The shirt does fit, but is a little tight and the edges stick out a little. No worries there though. People can see it's an undershirt, not necessarily a sweat proof shirt, but an under shirt which a lot of people wear.

AMAZING. LIFE CHANGER!
Amazing! I feel so confident in this shirt knowing I can wear anything and won't be embarrassed by sweat marks, but it sucks that the price went up. Now it is overpriced. Thompson Tee is more affordable, although this is an excellent t-shirt

They do work! But I doubled up.
I want to write an honest review because if you are looking at this t shirt, chances are you sweat as much as I do! For the last 20 years I have suffered with excess sweating (I think mine is caused by nerves every time a stressful situation occurs- that means even talking to someone behind a shop counter leaves me sweating buckets under the arms). For so long I have hidden the problem, as I’m sure you have, with lace tops, black colours and large chunky knits...but the other day I finally got fed up of it as I am running out of suitable clothes to wear! I tried the Thompson tee first and I thought this was brilliant! However I leaked through my right arm hole after a couple of hours...I was told by the company to double up or go a size down- I found doubling up worked best! I was so incredibly impressed by them. After a couple of washes though I found they had stretched a bit, and although not dreadful they were a bit baggy in the padding area so showed up under some clothing. I thought I’d give Sweatshield a go...I was immensely impressed! I wore it for 5 hours and stayed dry! After 5 hours though I started leaking through on the right arm hole again and that disappointed me a bit because I really wanted total confidence. I emailed the company for advice and their customer service was excellent! In the end I tried doubling up my 2 mediums. This made it tight under the arms- it wasn’t cutting off the blood flow but I was tight. I also found that you could see the padding far more through clothes when doubled up (the cuff area) but to be honest it was a small price to pay- they were skin tight so the body area didn’t show and they worked for a whole 8 hours straight!I was so impressed with this product that I’ve ordered myself 6 more. Buy the shirt- you won’t regret it! They do run small, so I’d probably try a size up to start with. But please don’t be down hearted if you start to leak through, try doubling up before you write it off. Hope this helps someone out there- I have washed them about 4 times now and they have held their shape brilliantly too.

It works!
I wish they made these in nude. It’s very soft and comfortable. It takes a few hours to get used to the pads on your armpits if it’s the first time you try such thing, but it is comfy. I should have gone with Medium because it is a fitted shirt and I am a bit overweight but still works.

Better than disposable sweat pads
It worked for me. My work has plain, thin, colored t-shirts as the uniform. I would have to wear another undershirt plus stick on sweat pads everyday. The pads would constantly move around and bunch up and wouldn’t cover the entire area I was sweating from. I was hesitant to spend the money on these shirts, but I figured if it would work it would pay for itself by me not buying disposable pads every month. The shirts do make me slightly hotter, but it was not a big deal. They held in all my sweat (part-timer 6 hour shift working around computers and printers so it gets hot in my little corner). There was no sweat spots! I’m the type that can sweat, even if I’m feeling cold. Any caffeine makes me drenched. This shirt did it’s job! It is the middle of winter, so I’m curious how it will be when we get our 115 degree summers, but inside in the AC I’m thinking these will be just fine. Also curious how they will hold up with washing. I will definitely purchase more of these when I get more money to do so, they are a good investment if you are using disposable pads like I was. The fit of a Large was a little tight around the arms, but I believe that is to help hold the sweat in. Yes it’s thick in the armpits, but it has to be to do it’s job. This is a undershirt, not something you would wear alone.
