Q: does the poly mixing drum come off easily for cleaning?

Not the best way to clean it, drum can be removed but remember the metal bolts need to be free of cement to dismantle. Best to clean with water after each use. You can bang on the plastic flexible to remove the harden mixture.

Q: Is the axle solid from one wheel to the other one or just bolts to the frame?

The wheels bolt to the solid frame.

Q: I am looking for the diameter of the drum opening...looking to use it in food processing, so hoping a typical 5 gal. bucket could fit inside?

This cement mixer is not designed to be used for food. The mixer is not food grade. The drum opening is 10.25".

Q: you can replace Polypropylene Drum into Stainless Steel?

POSSIBLE IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT FORM FACTOR. THE GRUB SCREW AND MOUNTING LOCATION FOR THE DRUM MAY BE STRESSED DUE TO the WEIGHT OF A STAINLESS STEEL DRUM. I WOULD THINK IT ALSO LOOSES RPM's FROM WEIGHT.
