a little bit smaller than I thought, but big enough for 2 adults. I use it under my fabric picnic blanket to avoid getting dirty or wet.

I do feel bad writing a negative review, but this product is NOT for the beach. I set it up in a few minutes, very durable and convenient. It looked great, but sand immediately clung to it like static. It did nothing but attract more and more sand to the point it was more a hassle than anything. I couldn't shake the sand off, couldn't get it back into the bag. I got back to the hotel room and tried to dry and shake it off, but the sand just got everywhere. Sadly I just balled it up and threw my frustration into the garbage. I think the product would work great in other applications (lawn, or maybe dirt), but a sandy beach, no.

We live in Hawaii where picnics are spontaneous: from simple lunch breaks to afternoons at the beach, to school, sports and arts events and beyond. I was looking for a blanket that I could easily carry in my purse or our small backpack and generally have it handy anytime I needed it, without feeling I was going on a camping trip. I'm so glad I found it! When folded in its pouch, Eccosophy pocket beach blanket is literally so light and small, it can fit in your palm! I love the fact that the pouch also comes with a lobster clasp so that you can attach it anywhere: your backpack, your lunch box, your water bottle even your belt loop. When unfolded it is big enough to accommodate four people seated. We took it with us on our recent trip to Honolulu (where the first photo is taken from) and enjoyed our snacks on it at Ala Moana beach, all four of us in our family. It is waterproof and sand-proof, and we are in love with its colour. The material is soft to the touch and the little corner pocket is so convenient to keep car keys or sunscreen. I had to wash the blanket as my son spilled some sauce on it while we were having our picnic and despite the instructions to wash by hand, I just put it in the washing machine at low temperature. It came out like new, there was no colour fading or any change in the texture of the material and it seems we will be using it for a long time! Since my daughter claimed this blanket as hers having picnics often with her friends in our garden, I went ahead and ordered another one in a different colour but I'm assuming I will be ordering more as my friends are eyeing them too... After-all this blanket makes a great gift too!

I’m so disappointed in this product. I really, really wanted to like it. I like the texture, I like the color, I like the size it folds up easily and it’s lightweight. But. The darn thing attracts sand like a magnet. After using it for a couple hours on the beach, I tried to shake the sand off. The sand is not coming off. It is literally clinging to the blanket and even brushing is only somewhat effective. It’s seriously acting like a magnet with the sand. I did the best I could at the beach and ended up taking a whole bunch of sand home with me and having to hose it off on my back patio to get all the sand off because I didn’t want to half cup of sand at the bottom of my washing machine. This one aspect makes this product basically unusable as it has one job and that’s to keep me away from the sand when I’m at the beach and then also when I’m on my way home. It seriously fails at doing this second most important part of this one job.

This pocket beach blanket is awesome!! We have one in every car and as my kids just started college, I sent one to their dorms because they are perfect for students! And campus life! I highly recommend this product! It’s so compact & lightweight & super easy to fold it back into its pouch. The quality of the material is great. It’s super soft, definitely waterproof, perfect for picnics, hikes and the beach too.
