These PVC Covers are great for use with Power Pole connectors!

These do exactly what they are supposed to do but they are just a tad too small. I installed 3, the first one isn't on the PowerPoles correctly. The second one I stretched heavily with a needle nose pliers before installing and that worked perfect. The 3rd I warmed up with a heat gun and that also worked well.

I had been attaching Anderson PowerPoles for a year or more and just leaving the two connectors, linked by their little groove-and-projection, with the two conductors exiting from the rear of the connector pair. Then one day, I ordered a PowerPole distribution junction box and that was supplied with four sets of four PowerPoles AND four of these connector boots.No instruction manual needed, it was obvious what these boots were intended to do, and having slipped them onto my cables before attaching the PowerPoles, I found the boots slipped nicely, and snugly, over the PowerPoles. Friction holds them in place, and they serve as a good tactile grip for mating and de-mating the Power Pole connectors.The boots give a nice finished appearance to to the installation, which is the reason, once introduced to this product, I placed this order for ten more.

Cut a hole in the back the size you need for your wires and slide them on. They are a tight fit and work well.

These boots make for a professional-looking installation and provide strain relief at the Powerpole connector. At $1/ea for such a small quantity, they're a reasonable deal. Something to consider, and which I didn't realize when ordering, is that these aren't punched where the cable enters the boot. The easiest way I've found to deal with this is to heat an awl (a butane lighter works fine, it doesn't take much heat) with the same outside diameter of your power cable, then carefully push it through the rear of the boot. The awl is easily cleaned with a soap-free scouring pad while it's still hot. Don't inhale and don't burn yourself.
