Yamaha YPT-240 61-Key Digital Piano Value Pack with Stand, Power Supply, and Headphones

Bought this for the grandchildren for Christmas. Keyboard is good. Good sound quality, fairly clear instructions. I think we will have fun with it for a long time to come.But the wrong stand was supplied. I found it very difficult to work out to contact Amazon by e-mail and ended up on the phone. Their operator had some difficulty understanding English and could not grasp that whilst both keyboard and stand were fine, they were not compatible. He suggested that I call Yamaha. I told him that Ihad bought the item from Amazon and thought calling Yamaha was down to him. He eventually agreed. I waited on the phone for 15 minutes. Came back without apology to say they'd supplied the wrong stand and would send another - by then too late to arrive for Christmas.New stand has now arrived - without any additional cost - but the process was disappointing.

I had a keyboard when I was younger but never learned to play, it is has been on my 'Bucketlist" to learn to play and i am now 27 years old and figured its 'time" to learn. I purchased this keyboard despite the confusing reviews. I noticed that the keyboard is very light weight compared to the keyboard I used to have. This is great for travel purposes its portable. It comes with a stand, set of headphones and the plug/charger. Now for the stand....the stand is tricky...if you do not put the stand together carefully you can easily put it together backwards which might be why some people have trouble with it. It took me about 30 mins to figure it out. Once i had it together I at first thought it was to small or the keyboard didn't fit but after adjusting it the keyboard does fit just fine, it is stable and not wobbly it just took some adjusting and readjusting to get it to sit just about right. If you want a really heavy stand, i suggest you just buy the single keyboard and buy your own heavy duty stand, this stand is portable so it is light weight - i would like to eventually upgrade the stand to heavier one because i wont be traveling with mine but at the end of the day it works just fine. I will preface by saying I am a keyboard NOVICE! Before this purchase, I played around on a Yamaha my parents bought in the 80s. When that old keyboard began to sound undoubtedly like it was.. you know... from the 80s, I decided to upgrade. After much comparison shopping, I purchased this Yamaha 61-key and I'm SO happy with the decision! I bought the standalone keyboard, not the kit with stand/headphones.I don't know tonally how high-end keyboards sound, but I am very impressed with the clarity and sound produced by this product (both through the speakers and my Sennheiser headphones). The different rhythms/sounds/instruments are endlessly entertaining. If you are looking for a casual playing experience that makes you feel more experienced than you are, I absolutely recommend this product.FYI - The power supply is sold separately.

The keyboard is wonderful! It feels great, sounds incredible, and is a great product. I would have given this a 5-star rating if I hadn't had the problem with the stand and power supply. Needless to say, the problem with the keyboard stand remains an issue (Amazon ships a stand that doesn't fit the keyboard). Amazon also ships a power supply that has the following warning label "The chemicals in this product have been found by the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other health problems." I contacted Amazon several times and finally spoke to customer service. After about AN HOUR on the phone, I finally got the correct power supply and stand. However, like the other Amazon customers, Amazon had me purchase the correct products and they reimbursed me. In retrospect, although I like this keyboard, I would have purchased a different one just to avoid the hassle..

This is the perfect keyboard for my 5-year old daughter, who is taking piano lessons for the first time. We didn't want to invest in a piano until we learn whether this will be a significant interest for her, and this was the perfect solution for practice at home. The sound is great, the volume controls are fantastic and she enjoys practicing on it (and playing around with the multitude of different sounds it makes!). I love that she has fun using it! I am confident that she can continue to use this keyboard for years to come. We purchased a sturdy stand for it and the A/C adaptor.

Keyboard is just fine. Kit is shabby: Screws to assemble stand already threaded at ends of X frame, remove to put through cross pieces. Three worked fine, the fourth WILL NOT come out at all, appears placed in at angle or torqued too tightly. Eventually only seemed to strip corners for Allen wrench and outside of screw is round/slick, so unable to grip on outside to try to loosen. Worse, playing keyboard with Batteries because adapter is BROKEN, light on it does NOT show and NO power is going to keyboard. Will have to pay for a new one, perhaps from Yamaha directly. Happy to have it except accessory kit is JUNK. Stand also does not appear to be correct fit for this particular keyboard.I purchased a Yamaha manufactured PA130 power supply from a retailer and it works perfectly. So far, had to pay additional $21 for working power supply and presently have stand stabilized with Duck Tape in lieu of appropriate screw which Never came out of stand leg. Very disappointing. Also, pieces of stand to seat inside grooves underneath keyboard seem not correct size and this was mentioned in another review as well. Generic brands to accompany keyboard and are NOT Yamaha manufacture!!! Price fine for beginner keyboard, but advertising with accessory kit is very misleading when parts don't work or are wrong size!!!! BEWARE.
