ELAN Publishing Company Combination Plan and Record Book: One efficient 8-1/2" x 11" Book for Lesson Plans and Grades Combines W101 and R1010 (PR7-10) (Green)

These used to be ordered for me when I worked in Catholic school. I now work in a NYC Public School and consider myself lucky to buy this product now from Amazon. The combination book is much better than keeping separate plan and grade books. Don't worry that you lose pages of each in the combination book, there are plenty of each. The plan book part, which was required by the Catholic school, is a great tool to use even if not mandated. It helps immensely with pacing, plotting out how you'll cover the scope and sequence, and making sure you finish in time to review for the Regents in January and June. One thing I would like to see is perforations in the left column. I end up writing my classes on the first page, then I use a "guillotine" paper trimmer to cut the rest off so I don't have to rewrite them every week. The grade book portion has 50 lines, plenty to accommodate my class size of 34 plus program changes. In a small class you can skip lines between students (or do 3 for every 5 line group) to help legibility. All in all this is all you need in one book. It beats the daylights out of online grading.

No bells or whistles, but this is a great planner. It’s easy to use. It has a place for student grades and weekly plans. I have tried other planners that looked nicer but ended up coming back to this one

Grabbed this green-covered plan book to differentiate it from last year’s blue one. The days of the week go across rather than down the side, but that’s no problem. This company has thought of every possibility when designing its pages. A cherished and reliable go-to with each new school year.

I like this gradebook. It has lots of space for recording grades. I like the included planner pages so I don’t have to have a separate book. What I don’t like is the cove comes off the spiral. It has happened to the both of the books I have purchased. It needs to hack a better spiral system to keep the cove on the book. The one I am using now, I have to be really careful or the front cover is going to come off.

This is such a great planner and record keeping book!! As a new teacher I was looking for something that would be a 'one-stop-shop' and this more than does the trick!! My favorite part is the year at a glance calendar where I put all my planned assessments and I can see THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR on an open page. This will help to keep me organized for sure! I'm buying another one for the next school year just so I have it on hand... A great buy that will satisfy your need to stay on track and have all pertinent information readily available. Oh yeah- and the pages for your weekly lesson plan notes per class period is another win win!!! Love Love Love this book!!!!!!!

Not only did I use this for grades, but I also used the bottom half of the page for attendance. In this post pandemic/restriction school year it helped with keeping track of who was in school and who was learning remotely on which days (as it changed daily). The name perforation MAY split IF you put a lot of papers in it and use paper clips but not terribly and it didn’t happen until the end of the marking periods (10 weeks later and not all pages) I just reinforced it with tape in the one small weak spot that split on a couple of pages. Great product!! My last order was to prepare for next year!

Covers not very sturdy, they fell off right away

I have purchased this for a couple of school years now and I appreciate the ease of use, more than plenty of pages to fill and the price was cheaper than most of the competition yet it holds the lesson plans and the gradebook in one. It is a no brainer each year for me. It is tricky to write test scores in the tiny boxes, so I just use two boxes at a time, but again there are plenty of pages to do this.
