Excellent ruler
It's nice and thick with ridges so it isn't going to flex. Nice and straight, printing is good and seems like it will be quite durable. I suspect I will get a good long time out of this ruler.

Meets expectations adequately
Got what I paid for. No doubt about it. My only wish is that it was a little bit straighter than it is. It would be perfectly fine for crafts and it’s normal use for projects with less demanding straightness accuracy, but this is certainly no straight edge. Extruded aluminum construction leaves this with a noticeable bow in it.

Edge was falling off before I opened it
I had the use some clear caulking to glue the razor blade edge back inside. Was coming out upon delivery.

Both a 30" and 18" AlumiCutter Ruler w/ steel cutting edge insert failed within a month!
To be fair, the 30" ruler took a slight fall off a work table. This was maybe from a height of 38" or so and onto carpet tiles covered concert, so not directly onto hard concert floor. How upsetting when it was noticed the insert popped out of my brand new $20 ruler. Thought to myself, well that shouldn't happen but it was dropped. Ended up fixing it with some very expensive two-part epoxy and I'm certain after this repair you could bend this ruler in half without the insert popping out now, AS IT SHOULD BE!Jump forward to today (4/27/21), the 18" ruler steel cutting insert popped out as well while being used. Made one cut, picked it up, and place it off to the side of my work area. Just at that moment, the ruler made contact with my table, it popped out too. The picture attached shows the failed 18" ruler. Was truly hoping these rulers would have been of higher quality for the price.Guess I'll be repairing another brand new ruler later today : (Buyers beware, you will sooner than later have to repair these yourself.

Best ruler I have ever owned!
This is an excellent ruler. I bought this rule after using one of the cheaper stainless steel rulers with no non-slip backing. The cheaper rules have caused several injuries (due to the pointy edges and lack of grip). This rule is perfect for Industrial Design students. The cutting edge allows you to use an Xacto knife easily without damaging your knife or ruler. The ruler has a countour that allows for easy gripping as well. To be frank, the rule is probably one of the more expensive rulers that I've bought, but it really is the best. You get what you pay for I guess - I just wish it fit a broke students budget.

Good cutting edges
I love these and have them in more than one length. I like the steel reinforced cutting guides. Easy to read. I only wish they made a trammel set for them.

Changed
Solid product and protects my fingers but these new one have an extra metal edge that my old one didn’t so makes it harder to aline to cut accurately. Prefer my older 24 inch for this reason. Still it does the job so 3 stars instead of 5

Happy to know a product exists to protect my fingers!
After slicing my finger, cutting through my nerve, and having two stitches through my finger-nail, I purchased this ruler based on the recommendation of a graduate assistant in my architecture studio. Pleasantly surprised by the lack of movement and confidence this ruler gives me when working with foam-core, bristol-board, museum board, and styrofoam models.works great, matches product description and picture.

Solid enough but does not include cm
Good solid ruler, non-stick pad underneath is good for keeping it still while tearing printmaking paper, hopefully the metal insert will last. Unfortunate that it does not include more accurate cm/mm markings along one side, kind of redundant to include inches on both sides. Couldn't find any other similar ruler so settled for this as I mostly needed it for tearing and drawing straight lines and don't need mm accuracy most of the time.
