Kenwood KFC-E170P 300W 17cm Component Speaker System

I payed £36.15 for these with amazon saying the RRP was more like £60, so I thought I would be getting something with the quality you'd expect for £60 and even if it wasn't worth that, it would probably be worth the £36.15. I was wrong.The units feel very light and cheap. I installed them and they sounded light and cheap too, not notably better than the 12 year old system that they are replacing.They sound okay but I wouldn't recommend buying these as there are better options at the price point and way better options if you are willing to spend that little bit more. I have sent mine back.

These were an off the cuff purchase for replacing my parcel shelf coaxials. Kenwood is a brand name, well known, so took a gamble for the little they cost. They are incredibly good for the price. Genuinely they are only 'rear fill-in' speakers but considering maybe relocating them. Powered by the head unit currently but sound louder and 'fuller' with my amp. Bass response is fine, mids and trebles are solid. It isn't going to blow you away, but it's good enough - and for the price it's really great value.Be warned, when taking them out of the box they are light, feel flimsy and don't fill you with confidence - but stick with them! Also, the wiring included is longer than usual, so if you wanted to make more interesting setups, the options are there!

They have a clear sound but that's about where the good points end. Bass is very lacking even on a good head unit, you'd need a proper sub to make up for it. Mid range is nice and clear though, however the tweeters are that cheap they aren't even worth using.Spend a bit more and get something decent !

I assumed that these aftermarket speakers will be better than Peugeot stock paper cones fitted in my 2016 van. I assumed wrong. Very poor, thin sound. Barely any bass compared with the stock ones already fitted. I left the original speakers in the van.

All good jus no bass...
