Food Allergy Awareness Bracelet

My son has severe, life threatening food allergies. He started wearing the small size band at age 2 years old. It was a reassurance for me since he wasn't able to speak and inform others of his food allergies. I had him wear his bracelet for 10 minutes at a time until he got used to it. He is nine years old and wears a size large. These bracelets are durable, water proof, comfortable and easily seen on his wrist with the vivid and bright colors. Once he was comfortable wearing the bracelet all day and able to speak well, I started using the symbols as as teaching tool for his food allergies for himself and whenever we were in a public setting to educate everyone about his food allergies. Thank you for this wonderful product.

I ordered this for my son to wear to summer day camp. Even though all of his counselors were aware of his allergy, it was nice to have a visible reminder for them that my son could wear. The bracelet is also water-proof, which was great when they were at the pool. This fits my sons tiny wrist and doesn't come off. But is not uncomfortable, either. I like having a bright, colorful bracelet to help alert others of his severe food allergy.

This bracelet has been great for my son! It has been invaluable for him to wear to afterschool, church, summer camps, and for sleepovers to remind adults to check ingredients or to just not give him food that he didn't bring. The bright colored bracelet and customizable charms are attention grabbers and durable. It must be comfortable enough because after taking it off at night for the first year my 6/7 yr old son has decided to just leave it on all the time now.

I like that it comes with two size options for the wrist band and that it’s easier than a metal bracelet for my child. I love that many allergies are choices on the buttons. I would appreciate a mollusk button because there are two categories of shellfish allergy. The writing is ok closer up, but the pictures are very helpful. It’s lasted several years without breakage or other problems!The allergy “buttons” are not all that easy to get in, which is annoying, but once they are in, you don’t have to worry about them coming out👍🏻😉, which is very much appreciated with active kids!Recently bought a second set because my child developed another allergy and we couldn’t find the other buttons from the previous set.

This fits my six year old perfectly. He loves to wear it and I love how bright it is and that it gets the attention of others to draw attention to his allergies. He also has asthma so I bought an asthma button separately to add to the bracelet. Now I feel much better when he’s at camp, school, church, etc. 100% recommend!

We love the simplicity of the bracelet and how attractive it is to those who do not know my son has allergies. We bought this for my 4yr old son. He wears is all the time. He bathes in it, sleeps in it, gets dressed and eats with it on his wrist. The rubber band does get caught up in clothing when getting dressed but just needs a little assistance. The first time we bought this my son did chew on the tabs and eventually all the tabs came off. He only wore the medical alert, egg and peanut charm. Once those charms were broken, we bought another exact same bracelet. The charms are a two person job. It's extremely hard and frustrating to put them on the bracelet and if you're not careful the bracelet and charm will break. So with my second purchase of this bracelet, I snapped part of the bracelet trying to put in the charms. However, it was still wearable. Then his egg charm fell off but by this point he had stopped chewing on the bracelet like he did the first bracelet. Then at school the bracelet broke. I do love the concept and look of the bracelet but we are kind of tired of the bracelet breaking. We will probably try another brand this time since our second bracelet broke. We bought one in Aug 2014 and it broke Nov 2014. We bought another one Dec 2014 and it broke Feb 2014. Hope that helps

I did an extensive search before purchasing this several years ago. This allergy bracelet works well for toddlers and up due to the size and material. My child has not worn it often until she started kindergarten this year, and the smaller of the two bands still fits her well. The bracelet is very visible, waterproof, seemingly comfortable, and durable. I understand the concern of not having enough holes for multiple allergies; we only needed 3 total. It definitely has helped her educate her curious peers, and has made her more conscientious of not sharing food as a precaution. It's definitely a go-to gift to other young kiddos with severe food allergies.
