I tend to get glum in the winter and often work from home so hours stuck at a desk hardly seeing daylight however although cynical I have tried this and it works for me. Nice lamp and surprisingly robust (I live with a large clumsy cat)

Given the current persistent rain and clocks going back, it has been somewhat dark and depressing.Someone I know has a similar therapy lamp and upon their recommendation of that helping them, I purchased this one.It has two different tones of light, a bright white and a warmer tone much like a sunny afternoon.You can adjust the intensity of brightness, which is good as you can gradually build up the more you use it and alter it depending on what natural light there is when using it.There is also a timer available for use so that you don't use it for too long, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes.I started on a lower intensity on the warmer tone for 15 mins. I am now on a slightly stronger intensity (dependent on weather) for 30 mins.I have found that it is helping to lift my mood somewhat.The only negatives I have is that the stand could be sturdier as it is a little awkward and it would be better if the the power lead was 40-50% longer.Other than that I would recommend this therapy lamp. It also has a better energy usage rating than a lot of the other lamps, which is something to keep an eye on when you're deciding which one to purchase.

Can light up a whole room, effective brightness for dark winter days

The lamp just stopped working and I cannot switch it on anymore. It worked great for 2 months and then all of the sudden I'm unable to switch it on. Product support is not there - I am unable to return it. Money completely wasted, going to buy another one from a different manufacturer - maybe someone offering warranty.

This is a great product and really helped me through the dark winter months. I’d use it in the morning whilst eating and getting ready for the day, and definitely noticed that it helped just brighten my mood a little and help me wake up. I just wish it had a set time alarm so you could programme it to turn on at the same time each day. But for the price, the quality of the product and the features it does have is very good value
