High quality item
I got this cane/seat for my 83 year old friend for Christmas. He is still quite active for his age and "jogs" 2 miles every morning. Sometimes he's not so steady half way into the jog ... and was getting winded or light headed. Being stubborn as he is (I told him maybe a walk and not jog is better at this point) but he still wants to get out there. Anyway he loves that he can sit down down when he feels like he needs to. And the cane is still light weight enough that he can jog with it in hand! He has also used it while waiting in very long lines and brings it with him on outings where there might be a lot of walking involved. It's pretty sturdy and can open and close easily. It was a little stiff and hard to open and close when he first got it but after loosening it up after a few times its pretty smooth now. I like that it has adjustable legs to accommodate for a taller person to sit on comfortably. The only thing that I don't care for is that you have to sit on it "backwards" with the seat in between your legs in order to stay stable. An older lady friend of mine who could benefit from using this refuses because she wears skirts or dresses all of the time and feels its "unladylike" to be sitting there (getting on and off of it) with your legs spread open (I get that). Overall its a good value for the money and made well.

seat and handles are very hard plastic
This is a very useful cane if you are going to a large meeting without seating. It is heavier than a regular cane so not good for every day. The seat and handle are made of hard plastic, I rigged up padding for the handles and a seat cushion so it worked well at a protest. Would recommend this item.

We like it, just one fix
I like it. A little different sitting with the post in the middle, but okay, no skirts. I like the rocking motion allowed by the three legs. The seat is small, but feels sturdier than it appears. Assembly is easy. Flashlight is cool.Unfortunately, if I get tired and lean too much on it, the seat starts to come out and I lose some of the stability. Would like a locking mechanism like my broom and pan or pooper scooper has.I used it the other day and my grandmother liked it so much, I left it with her. So I guess I will be ordering another.

Nice and sturdy
Quality item, nice and sturdy. Just unfold and take a breather. Perfect for places that don't have a lot of places to sit, like a flea market or farmers market.

Exactly what I was looking for! Update
I'm a really big girl with a very bad knee and back. I hate riding around in those stupid carts at the store, especially when I really need to be up and walking. Standing still has been a real problem.I have really long legs, so I set all these legs set up on the longest setting. The cane is still very stable, and the seat is high enough to get on and off the seat without pain, about 18.5" high when open.I bought this cane to take to a concert. WOW, what a game-changer for me! We had a stand-only VIP private acoustic off-site concert, and I was able to sit when I needed to while waiting to get in, and again sitting down in front! Later, at the main venue, we had to stand around in line and wait for a ride coming in and going out. It holds all of my weight no problem. I also used it to get up and down all night when stupid disruptive drunk ladies kept going in and out of our row. I was able to easily, as big as I am, get up and down, using this cane.I took it shopping with husband to buy clothes for his trip. When I needed to get off my feet, easy peasy.I purposely selected the smaller seat to make it less wide and more portable, but it holds my largest heaviest parts without discomfort. It is easy and steady to walk with over distances.Thank you for making a sturdy, usable, affordable product that greatly helps me to stay mobile!Update: I weigh less than what I did when I bought it. It snapped and I fell. See picture. I’m okay but this should be rated a much lower weight!

Multitasking cane/seat functions well but light failed before evening walk
This item was bought as a gift for a friend, recovering from surgery, temporarily unable to stand for any length of time. He was told to take walks for physical therapy. I'm estimating his weight to be 200-220,. tall, lanky build. He was only walking during the day with a walker. This gave him a chance to graduate to a cane. When I gave him the cane he tried the light and was excited that it was bright and he could go out after dark. However, on the first outing the light failed. I'm very disappointed about that. On the plus side, the cane/seat isn't too heavy for him and has been able to support him. He said that his walks are mostly in a park where there is a sidewalk. He doesn't plan to use it on the grass and said he doesn't think it would work well on uneven or soft surfaces. He's surprised at how comfortable it is. When seated you'll be facing the reverse of how you sit in a regular chair. In other words, not turning and sitting down. but facing into it. The easiest way to get seated is to slide it between the legs rather than swinging one leg over. My friend has the ability to manage getting on and off without help but someone who is handicapped, my opinion, may need assistance. Place hands on the handle kind of like riding a scooter when you sit.

Ease of use
This cane is the greatest thing I’ve bought in a long time. The number of steps this ole lady can walk is not too many. Being able to pull the chair seat down and sit till I get the hurting to stop the pull seat up and I’m off again. It’s worth every penny

Best invention ever
I’m your best advertisement for the cane. Not a day goes by without someone asking me where I purchased it. They all love it. I’ve been using the cane for about 15 years and could not get along without it. I have Neuropathy and need to sit down often when I’m walking and it makes it possible to go on vacations and walk and sit on the seat when my feet get numb.
