Works as advertised. Fits those carlo rossi wine bottles too, so you can just get one of those and use it after you drink the wine.

Nice heavy duty airlock, not the skinny wimpy ones. I did have one that the red cap was cracked and does not snap onto the top. I dont know if I can get one new red cap to replace it.

I've been using these with gallon jugs I bought off of Amazon. First time I tried using one, I pushed it part way in, and it simply slid back out; didn't grip, or conform to the shape of the neck of the bottle. So, I pushed it in further, and it passed through the neck into the bottle! Ended up leaving that one in the bottle (pulled the airlock off of it, and it dropped to the bottom), and used another, holding it down with wire, as others have suggested. I continue to use two of these, as I didn't have another option, but am disappointed that I have to wire it down to get it to function.
