These are lightweight, tube-style running boards. They are not rock sliders, so they won't be able to take a beating off-road.However, if you're looking for a convenient step to get to the roof rack, or in the vehicle when the distance from ground to cabin is too awkward to do without help, then these are an excellent value for the money. Likewise, having these on the vehicle will help with door dings from tight parking lots.Materials / QualityThe finish is powder-coated, black, along with rubber pads for stepping onto the bar. The end caps are welded, as opposed to some competing products that have plastic end caps that fall off or allow moisture to creep in, causing rust and other stains to appear. The brackets and mounting hardware are about what you would expect, given that these are very lightweight and mount into the body, not the frame.InstallationI would probably take off half a star for this, since the instructions were hard to read (black and white blurry photos, and said 2010-2015 model years only - mine is a 2020 and Amazon chose this product as fitting my vehicle, which it did). The Go Rhino stickers were crooked and barely adhered to the surface of the tubes, so I removed them. Had to remove the residue with an adhesive remover.FitThese sit up high, relative to a number of other running boards that have steps that sit down lower. That's create for ground clearance when off-road, but not so great if you have short legs, since the step is high. But you save distance by the tube protruding out from the body, so I actually like it being higher and less likely to catch on something.DurabilityTime will tell. Will update this review after 6 months, to see how the finish is holding up.ConclusionI looked at rock sliders ($800-$1200), nerf-bars, and running boards. The prices, finish, form factor vary wildly. While rock sliders are awesome, since they mount to the frame and can hold the weight of the vehicle, I couldn't justify the expense for 99% of my needs, which are on-road. If you plan to do a lot of off-road driving, over rocks and other unstable terrain, spend the extra money and get sliders.If you're like me, and need a nice looking, functional tube step, I think these are the best value on the market right now.

Easy to install and look great.

I am a 59 year old woman and was sure I would need help with this install, but I did it myself in 30 minutes on the first side and 15 minutes on the second side. Just need the right tools and watched a good You-Tube.

These steps arrived earlier than expected and were well packaged for shipping. I'm short, so running boards are a must for me. These steps look great and were super easy to install. They came with directions and all needed hardware, and they were even in color coded packaging to make it even easier. So far, so good. Great product for the money.

I have a 2018 4Runner SR5 and these fit perfect! There's no large gap between the body and the steps so these fit like a nerf bar/rock slider combo. Installation was very easy. I had to loosen, adjust, and retighten brackets when I was ready for the steps, but that was 10 minutes for both sides. VERY STURDY! These have a quality 10x better than half the stuff you find out there. I've already gotten a few compliments on them. They delivered within a week and I'm very, very happy with them

After doing some research I realized that these should fit my GX470 and they do. They were very easy to install, everything lined up perfectly. I was concerned that they would cover my rock lights but they fit just right. I think they look more rugged than the stock, plastic covered running boards and they feel sturdier. More to come when I get some real miles and weather behind them. Thinking GX470? Go for it!

Easy to install and look really great on my 2016 4Runner SR5. They sit higher and tighter to the body than the other brand I almost bought. They look better in person even than in photos. I bought the TEKTON 1/2 Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench (10-150 ft.-lb.), since the Go Rhino instructions recommend 16 ft.-lb., but I read in the torque wrench instructions that the "click" may be hard to hear at lower torques (such as 16 ft.-lb.). So, I got cold feet and did the install with just a 3/8-inch-drive ratchet wrench with a 13-mm socket. I didn't even need an extension. Got all the bolts tight and didn't strip any!

Product arrived quickly and good packaging. Only had an hour left of daylight when I had time to install these and was a little concerned about getting it done in time. Super easy to install, total of 12 bolts per side and was done in plenty of time. Will update my review after we've had a chance to use them
