Can i use this as a kill switch for my kids 12v atvs? it just needs to interrupt the key wire signal. thx

Yes. The output of the receiver is a normal open relay dry contact output (toggle output), so it can be used to interrupt the key wire signal if you can power the receiver with a 12VDC power supply. Please note that the standby power of the receiver is about 30mA, so please pay attention to the capacity of the battery if you use battery to power the receiver.

What would a wiring diagram look like to take this from a 12V battery to an amplifier to simply turn it on and off with the remote?

It’s always open (off) until the button is pressed to close (on). When button is released it’s open again. Made for electric gate opener.

I would like to extend the antenna on the receiver, do you sell an extender for this ? if not do you have any suggestions ?

We don't have the antenna with so long wire and we also can not find so long antenna on AMAZON. I think you don't need an antenna with so long wire. You can purchase a 3m long 315MHz antenna (ASIN: B07L61ZQRD )from AMAZON to extend the receiver range of the remote control kit even there is wall obstruct the wireless signal. You can solder the original antenna off the PCB and then cut off the SMA terminal of the new antenna, and then solder the inner copper wire of the new antenna to the pad of the PCB which is used for soldering the antenna.

Can you add an external antenna for increased range?

Yes, add an external antenna can increase the receiving range. But you will need to solder the old antenna off the control board and drill a hole on the case. And then insert the high power antenna into the case and solder the external antenna to the original atenna fixing pad.
