BLACK+DECKER 1400W Advanced Handheld Steamer, 3 Attachments, Gray/Blue, HGS200

I did research to find an affordable, effective hand steamer. I needed this to stream clean a bunch of fabric items. It's simple to set up, heats up quickly, and works for a good long time on one little tank of water. It stores easily, too. It seems my model has an updated trigger. It can lock so you don't have to hold it down or it can be unlocked and give you more control over the steam. Recommended!

If you're like me and are somehow terrible at ironing despite practicing, and need a generally wrinkle free shirt, this is probably your best option. Using other steamers has not gone well for me. Very simple to use, following the manufacturer directions yields good results. Minimal drippage and never had an issue in the 6+ months I've used it I hang up shirts on my door hanger and use one hand to maneuver the shirt and the other to steam. Starting with one sleeve then making my way across the shirt, flipping to the back if needed. Keep the fabric flat but don't pull too tight otherwise you'll make creases. It won't get out very small "micro-wrinkles" like an iron will, but takes care of the major stuff. You may find it helps remove wrinkles better with an ironing glove or press pad to be able to apply pressure to the fabric. I wouldn't go so far as to say this is travel friendly unless you have a large suitcase, but I guess it beats having wrinkled shirts. In the photos I left this shirt crumpled up in the dryer instead of hanging it up.

I bought B&D because of the success I've had with numerous other products. This steamer is bigger than you may think but not so big to be unmanagable. Followed instructions and it leaked water all over my clothes. Also had issues using it like an iron. Put it away thinking I'd returned but tried it once more. Appears it needs longer to heat up than directions say, another 20 secs or so and no issues with water spotting on hanging clothes. Also, after a longer steaming session, let it heat up again. I'm keeping for now.

I bought this to replace my old steamer, of a different brand, that died. This steamer is significantly larger, and that is the only adjustment I had to get used to. It's also significantly better as it is more powerful and has a better water chamber, easier to replace the water if you need to refill in the middle of steaming larger items. The attachments are great, and the long cord is awesome - it makes it easy to steam large objects like curtains, bedspreads and upholstery. Great product!

Bought this in Sep 2022 and it lasted 3 years before it stopped producing much steam - really feels like everything is made to break within a few years now. It also cost $45 and has gone up nearly 50% in price since then, which is insane. Just buy a cheaper one if you're going to have to replace it in a couple years anyway. It worked while I had it but no better than the cheap Amazon one I replaced it with, and it's quite heavy. Definitely not worth the price at this point.

I researched hand-held steamers and came across this one as highly rated. This steamer lives up to its reputation. It arrived in great condition, was easy to unpack and “assemble” (just snapping the water tank into place) and worked like a charm on new curtains that were extremely wrinkled during shipping. The steamer is easy to hold and warms up to a full steam in seconds. I steamed two 96-inch long curtain panels in a few minutes — no second pass needed.

Worked one time. When I went back to use it today. 1/25/26 it doesn’t work. Nothing changed but not regular use. Warranty gone and no product support. Very expensive product to not at least have product support. Very disappointed.

The product is defective. Stopped working on the 4th application. I contacted Black and Decker and they said they dont aell this product, hence there is no service. Amazon does not take any accountability. What a wast of money.

Excellent Product, good water holder. It is not light enough to continue holding for long duration. Long cable.

Excelente producto, buen precio, la potencia es muy buena, genera mucho vapor que hasta se empañan las ventanas. Es fácil de usar, y por su tamaño es fácil de manipular. Esteticamente tiene muy buena presentación. En mi casa ya es el consentido, lo usamos para planchar la ropa y desodorizarla, limpieza de los sillones de la sala, y adicionalmente, es excelente para matar acaros y chinches.

había leído reseñas muy buenas de este vaporizador y la verdad ahora me doy cuenta de que no estaban exagerando. Saca las arrugas sin dificultad alguna (puede parecer más tardado que una plancha al principio, pero es cuestión de practicar), es excelente para limpiar en seco ropa tejida, y para quitarle pelusa a la ropa mientras se plancha (cada cosa con sus respectivos filtros). Lo único que habría que tomar en cuenta es que es algo pesada a comparación de otros vaporizadores de mano, pero lo considero una de las mejores opciones del mercado. La verdad es que el precio es una ganga si se analiza lo bien que funciona el producto.
