Fitness Walker Oak Walking Stick Trekking Pole Cane

Looks good, works great, fits the hand perfectly, made in Texas! This is just what I was looking for! I highly recommend this for balance, sturdiness and protection. Yes, I'd buy again.

My friend who these were for writes: "These are beautiful and amazing and I get stopped and asked about them often. I love Brazos walking sticks and canes and I own several. I was so happy to still be able to buy Brazos sticks in Canada through Amazon." I will add that he just had his second hip replacement surgery, and they are great sticks to help with walking after you get through the initial recovery phase. They really are stunning sticks.

I purchased a 55" Twissted Oak trekking stick. As for proper length for me i like 52" walking stick. So 55 is to tall and 48 short for my comfort. So i just sawed 3" from the bottom not an issue. i purchased it with the intent to modifiy length attach a Lee Valley spike/ferrel to the tip and, either a stag antler or decoravtive ice axe handle. I have sanded the finish and scorch the whole stick. It is now a nice even black. I rubbed off any loss char with a peice of cordura pack clothe. I then oiled and waxed the whole stick with walrus cutting board oil and wax Over all the finish comes smooth no ruff spots the tip is always a bit tappered. It comes with a lanyard hole drilled near the top. And a leather lace to use as a lanyard which also attaches the tags. Shipping was fast. It was meant to take 4 days but arrived in 2. The stick was packaged in a long box with brown craft paper for packing material to protect the stick from damage during shipping. All in all, quality, craftsmanship and, value are exceptionall high. This is my 3rd Brazos trekking stick. I guess im starting a collection.

Gave it 4 stars and requested to return of this item because of the beautiful smooth finish that lacks a hand grip area to avoid slipperiness while wearing gloves or mittens in cold weather.Didn’t realize the need for the hand grip area until receiving this item and comparing it to older walking stick with the hand grip in place. The leather thong is really only useful for hanging unless one is in the habit of wrapping it around your wrist which I don’t do.This item is beautifully made and is the perfect length for casual walking when used for balance or leaning on while visiting.
