I've got a freeze drier and I'm gonna use it.
Tastes reasonably nice but at this price point can only be considered as curiosity rather than a serious ingredient. I tried adding to a hiking pasta meal to zing it up a bit but even after crumbling, which isn't very easy, it didn't rehydrate very well even after being left in the simmering sauce for nearly 15 minutes. In fairness, it is sold as a snack but you'd have to be a confirmed ketonarcisist to spash this much cash more than once. As an ingrediant, a little grated Parmesan is probably the way to go.

Snacking cheese
As a vegetarian, I tend to eat quite a lot of cheese and was keen to try this freeze dried option produced by Super Garden. The cheese is cubed and comes in an airtight plastic pot, which is fully recyclable and itself is made from recycled plastic. The cheese itself is crunchy and highly flavoured. I found the taste interesting and added a few cubes to the top of a bowl of soup, where it was like a crouton imparting some extra flavour. I think it would also be interesting as an addition to a bowl of salad adding texture as well as cheese flavour.I found the snack interesting and flavoursome, but I’m not sure I would get it regularly, as I would just as happily snack on a block of cheese that costs significantly less. It’s a nice idea though and worth trying if you can get it on an offer.

Wow. Just Wow!
I didn't know what to expect when we ordered the 'freeze dried' cheddar cheese. It came up in a handy can, similar to peanuts can. Opened, smelled and it actually had cheesey smell. But the biggest surprise was actually when chucked a few bits to my mouth and they were absolutely fantastic! When chewing, the cheese has a very unique crunchy texture, then it melts in mouth. And the flavour is absolutely gorgeous! In no time we devoured the whole cheese together with my Mrs. I have checked where's the product originate, and it's Lithuania, if I'm not mistaken. I will definitely try all the flavours the SuperGarden has in offer, I'm a big fan now. Product definitely worth every penny.Btw. I decided I'm ordering "gouda" freeze dried cheese now. No time to waste! Thanks!

Strange tasting cheese
I really cannot make up my mind about this freeze dried cheese. I have never heard of freeze dried cheese before but I was willing to give it a try. I found the texture of the cheese strange, and when you first eat it, it doesn't really taste very much of anything. After a few seconds the taste of cheese comes through but it is not really a taste that I like. I think that this is a bit of a novelty item really but at the current price of £11.98, I think it is too expensive for a 100g of cheddar cheese.

Tasty but expensive for just 100 grams of cheese
Freeze Dried Cheddar CheeseThere is no doubt about it, these are really tasty little chunks of cheese. I have to say that Cheese is my favourite food so I do consume a lot of it. When I spotted this pot of freeze dried cheese I had to give it a try, out of the 5 different types of cheese available I opted for my favourite which is cheddar. The cheese is provided as small cubes in a round plastic tub with an air tight plastic lid. The contents are protected by an airtight peel back foil cover. These are a little unusual as the small cheese cubes are hard and crunchy. They certainly are cheesy, eat a couple an you will want more. When I first opened these I intended trying one to see what they tasted like, I ended up eating half the contents as they were so more-ish. I have just polished off the remainder whilst writing this review. If you love cheese then I would say you will certainly love these. But, that price of £11.98 for just 100 grams of cheese seems ridiculous to me. As much as I love the flavour, I wouldn't be prepared to pay almost £12 for a snack that I could easily polish of in less than 10 minutes.CONTENTS:1 x 100 gramsThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Tasty, unusual snack but a sadly unappetising price
100g of small cubes of crunchy freeze dried cheddar. They are surprisingly tasty and moreish, despite being decidedly unusual. The tub is foil sealed for freshness and has a resealable plastic lid. But – almost £12 for 100g cheddar?? Why not just eat ordinary cheddar- 2 stars knocked off for price.
