IELLO: Schotten Totten, Strategy Board Game, Easy to Learn, Claim Enough Stones to Win The Game, for 2 Players, 20 Minute Play Time, Ages 8 and Up

Love the game! I like that the game is intended for two people. So many games could be played by two people but are enhanced when more people play. But this game is really meant for just two people to play. The tactic cards give it a twist when you want - not necessary to enjoy the game though. I found it easy to understand how to play (think rummy or phase 10) however, the strategy is different from other card games (kind of reminds me of strategy for Pente, yet different). The small box would be perfect for travel. The graphics are great.

My wife and I are just getting into board and card games. I bought this since it is recommended on a lot of lists. So far this was the easiest to pick up and learn and was an absolute blast to play! The cards feel like good quality with funny artwork. This is an easy to pick up, tremendously fun to play head-to-head game!

This was ordered during a search for a game my wife and I could play each other, that wouldn't result in me winning every time as was the case with Scrabble. We both fell in love with this game its extremely thought provoking and fun.

Fantastic little game for 2 players!

My husband and I like Schotten Totten because it is a compact 2-player game, easy to take along. It's like playing six hands of poker simultaneously. The goal is to break through a stone wall (tiles) by winning poker like ranked hands. It's easy to learn and provides a challenge to master by employing various strategies. The artwork is fun and along with the sturdiness of the box and cards makes it giftable. The 'Tactic' cards add a challenging spin to the game. We added a set of small smooth stones (in keeping with the game theme) to our box for use when playing the advanced version with the 'Tactic' cards. There is a rule that states that you can only play one more Tactic card that your opponent has played and we were unable to keep track of how many we had played. You could track on paper or use any token to track the Tactic card play. I believe that the creators of the game should have included tokens in the box.

This is a very fun game. Players take turns placing cards down in front of nine "stones", trying to make three-card combinations that will out-earn your opponent and win you the stone. The first to get 5 out of the 9 stones wins. The combinations are much like rummy runs or poker hands, and it's very easy to get the hang of. But the possibilities are endless. It's very portable, and great to play with friends anywhere you have a bit of extra time. For two players.

So much fun

Après quelques semaines d'utilisation et plusieurs dizaines de parties, je dois dire que ce jeu est vraiment génial pour jouer à deux (ce qui n'est pas évident à trouver..). Au bout de quelques parties "simples" pour bien intégrer les règles de base, on ajoute les cartes tactiques qui permettent vraiment de se tirer dans les pattes. Pas hyper fan de l'esthétique et du style des dessins (question de goût) mais je mets tout de même 5 étoiles car on s'amuse vraiment et le principal est là. Aussi, j'ai acheté cette version anglaise : aucun impact sur le jeu en lui même mais le manuel est donc en anglais (la version française est téléchargeable en pdf).

What a brilliant game. Simple to teach and easy to play, but what a brain burner. Lots of decisions in this one. Highly recommended.

Nosotros siempre buscamos juegos de mesa que sean específicos para dos, ya que los juegos para más personas con modalidad de 2 no suelen ser tan interesantes. Ya había visto reseñas en internet y la verdad no nos decepcionó para nada. Altamente recomendado para quienes les gustan los juegos de mesa y no siempre consiguen a tantos amigos/familia para reunirse. PS: Aunque la caja es pequeña, para viajar no lo recomiendo tanto, ya que se requiere algo de espacio para colocar el juego, así como estar un jugador frente al otro , así que en aviones o autobuses no se podría jugar
