Excellent even on Breville machines!
I have a Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine and it worked great with the OEM stock portafilter, even though the machine is not made by Gaggia. I had sputtering issues at the spouts on my portafilter, now I just have smooth, consistent, crema. This 5 dollar part basically saved my machine, even though it's made by a different brand!

I realized that the little piece popped out after banging the used coffee puck out in the trash when I almost did it a second time and realized what happened. Pricey little piece of plastic, but dang does it make some crema

Absolutely indispensable
I should have ordered a spare years ago. I would not have had to paw through stinky garbage to retrieve the one I knocked out with the grounds and brew cup. Lesson learned.

Little thinghy works and eliminates splutter "one orifice on the back" filters !
Delivered in a timely fashion, well packaged, easy to install, indispensable for the filters "with one small orifice on the back" to avoid splutter

Works as advertised. Requires cleaning after each use. Sits loose in the porta filter so can be lost during cleaning.
