Accu Chek Compact Plus Blood Glucose Test Strips, 51 Count (Pack of 2)

I received two boxes today from Total Diabetes Supply. Somewhat disappointed in the expiration dates on the boxes however - 2018-05-31 and 2018-07-31. Admittedly the dates are two and four months out from today and at my typical usage rate of a dozen a week, I'll have used them up before they expire. It's just that I'm used to seeing 6+ months out on the purple boxes I typically get. However, at half the price of the pharmacy and some confusion about how accurate the purple boxes are with respect to these green boxes, I had to get them for comparison.Unfortunately I no longer have a purple box to compare country of origin, but these were made in Germany. The can that each drum comes in is labeled with two glucose ranges of 126-170 and 262-354 mg/dℓ while the purple drum is labeled with a single range of 7.4-10.0 mmol/ℓ. The purple range does convert closely to the lower of the two green ranges. If I had to guess, I bet the strips themselves are identical in composition. If both a green and purple strip were exposed to the same drop of blood, I bet they both produce the same magnitude electrical signal and the meter would measure the same thing, within tolerance. What this "coding" is in the barcode label, no clue.I still have a couple day's worth of purple strips to go through, but when I use the last one up, I will use a green one to compare using the same blood the same time of the day.

The Accu-Check test strips have proven to be especially accurate in my use. They are a convenient brand to use. One of the big burdens of test strips is their tendency to become expensive over time. Good diabetic control requires frequent testing, and many tests multiply the cost. I have been able to keep my costs from skyrocketing by purchasing Accu-Chek through Amazon. Amazon lists the available sellers for these strips with the prices they offer. In looking on the web page for the product one can quickly see where the strips can be obtained for the best price. It is then easy to choose the seller. Amazon's deliveries are made quickly and you can usually save around 50%.

I usually buy this item online as it is half the price you get in a drugstore. The only problem with it is after purchasing this item anywhere online whether it is Amazon.com or elsewhere, you get SLAMMED with spam. Lots of it. It is very annoying as I usually buy the drum tests at least 4-5 times a year. I do not know how to avoid it but most of the spam goes into my junk e-mail folder but not at first and some do slip by and go into my regular email folder. If you can put up with the spam, this is a great product.

This item was reasonably priced and a bargain. It was very satisfactory. It came from a vendor that is interested in offering those who have chronic conditions a break on his/her medical supplies charges. In a situation where seniors pay upwards of $6000, their share, of medicine and supplies charges, this helps greatly.

I love these and most importantly love the price on Amazon. I paid $l48.00 at the pharmacy for the same exact thing and it was only about $49.00 on Amazon. The difference paid for my yearly membership. These are very convenient as it is all in the drum and no more messing with individual test strips. I have already reordered these from Amazon.

I've used theis system for about five years and it has been convenient and reliable.. The test strips are kept in a protective drum and water proof. Once loaded in the meter, , handling is easy and secure, especially for people with hand problems.Medicare wants to switch us to a smaller and slippery meter that requires handling loose test strips. I find it hard to use.The Accu-Chek protective case is robust and easy to use. These test strips are the exact same thing I get at the pharmacy only at half the price on Amazon!!! Diabetics that are dedicated to keeping themselves healthy know how the costs add up for insulin, pills, doctor's appointments and testing supplies. Getting my supplies at half the price has been HUGE for me and my family. I definitely recommend!

I ordered these because I am a diabetic. I prefer the drum because I don't have to have any test strips on my person. Everything is in the tester. I got a really good price on these and the product was delivered really fast.
