Good value, except for accessories
For a six-year-old, as a first art set, this offers some important appeals--price and appearance (the wooden case, the variety of art media). I will be ditching and replacing the kit's cheapo scissors (plastic, and teeny plastic nut-hinge broke immediately), the sharpener, and the cute but silly mini-stapler with no staples provided. Also kid-proofing the kit by throwing out the cute vials of white-out and glue, 'cause I dunno what's in those.

outside wooden box is damaged when arrived
wooden box is damaged when arrived i had it ordered for gifting so i cannot tear down the plastic cover to see if inside of it is ok hopefully inside colors r okay...not recommend for gifting

Not what I expected
Crayons and markers were very dull. The markers were very dry for it being the first time use.
