Stand itself is great - sturdy, one-piece, easy to install into the ground, great height etc. This holds the standard size garden flag perfectly. My only con with the product is with the included "weight" that is supposed to hold the flag onto the stand. In the first few hours the weight blew off 2-3 times and I watched my flag slowly creep off - we had a windy day but nothing out of the ordinary - this weight would never hold up to heavier winds so you will definitely lose the flag. I even added a washer to hold the weight on and the washer and the "weight" both blew off - I found the "weight" but can't find the washer now. The included "weight" is made of rubber/plastic but it is too lightweight and the hole is too big so it slides right off. I am looking for something different but for now may have to rig it w/ a binder office clip. Overall, I would recommend the stand but look for something else to keep your flag in place.

I bought this to replace one that came in a set that I bought elsewhere. When the flag arm broke, I had to fix it ASAP. I have four flags, one for each season. I take my flags seriously, and so do my neighbors. I do not belong to a homeowner association, however, it is understood. Right flag for right occasion/season. This is in no way enforced, just understood. To be honest my sons don't understand the importance of my flags.They may even think it's silly. I don't know if my husband understands why but, he knows it's important to me. As a matter of fact, my husband was the one who purchased this. All I had to do was walk in the house and tell him that the flag arm was broken. I guess that is all that needed to be said. I have had this for a while now and it hasn't rusted or bent or come out of the ground. The flags are easy to put on and stay put until next season. I have only had to adjust the flag once when it flipped over onto itself. A small flub that was easily corrected.

This stand is quality made and I expect it to last a long time. Living in FL, it will be exposed to the elements (direct sun for 6+ hours a day and frequent rain storms). I have had it outside for a couple of months and so far, it has held up. The metal is nice and doesn't appear to bend or rust, so I have high hopes for this. The flag holder is a wee bit taller than I was looking for and the extra "ornate" embellishments at the top make it a bit bulkier than I would like. I was hoping to find just a simple flag stand, but this was as simple as I could find. I don't regret my purchase and feel that this is the best one that I found through Amazon. One other thing I like about it (and didn't expect to) was that it came with a little plastic piece that you slide on after your flag to keep it from blowing off - since the storms here produce a lot of wind, it has come in handy and prevented lost flags!!

It's the perfect height for garden flags and is pleasing to look at. I love that it comes with the stopper to keep my flag from blowing off. Also a wonderful thing is it comes with caps for the bottom pointy part that goes in the ground. For me this is a good thing because if I decide to bring it inside to store it I can do so and place the caps right back on the bottom to ensure that my pets don't somehow stab themselves with it. I just personally find that to be a plus a lot of people will probably just through the caps away. It came well packages and was very easy for me to open and put out in my flowerbed. I think it took me less than five minutes to open the box and put the flag holder in my yard with my flag on it. I will be ordering another one for the other side of my house.

I stick this durable, weather-proof (no rust or flaking and we live in the rainy Pacific Northwest) flag stand in my deck planters among my planted flowers. I hang glass bottle hummingbird feeders from it which have a little heft once filled with syrup. The upward curl of the iron is a nice safeguard against a gust of wind. Although it bends a bit with the weight of my feeder, it has held up well. The rubbery stopper helps keep the feeder from sliding around. I can't imagine any issues with this item if using it for its intended purpose. And I have no issues when using it for mine.

This flag post is so much better than the other kind. I love it!!!! The rubber flag stoppers that you can buy to put on it to keep your flag from coming off are kind of loose on it though. When I took my flag down for the season, the rubber stopper wasn't there. I discovered that it was inside the flag loop (that the metal arm of the flag stand goes through to hold the flag). The loop had just gone over the stopper... but the flag still won't come off, so that's good.This stand comes with a rubber stopper that is loose as well, but the stoppers won't come off, and they will still keep the flag from coming off as well.
