WeltoolM2-BF UV Flashlight, Black Light, 365nm UV-A, 1800mW, Stainless Steel, Battery Powered, Portable, 13.5cm

I reviewed UV Flashlight information for 1-month prior to buying. This in preparation to use UV to trace oil drips from a vehicle. I settled on the “365nm” wavelength (“WL”) lights because this shorter WL imparts greater energy to fluorescing materials making it easier to see them (fluorescent dye, etc.). THIS PARTICULAR MODEL is optimal with great power from the protected 18650 LiOn rechargeable battery, which was included. The light works exceptionally well, with high quality emitter, front filter lens, body & switch, and all internal spring/contacts etc. The threads, int/ext finish and plating on the spring etc. are at the highest level of manufacture! A very excellent light in every way. After reading more than 100 critiques and product reviews I am extremely happy to have paid a little more to buy this light … the more powerful 18650 battery, excellent front filter lens and 365nm emmiter make this a superb UV light!

Weltool has 3 different versions of their M2 UV light:M2-BF (lens filter)M2-CF (no filter, clear lens)M2-OL(even beam, flood)The M2-BF has a lens filter that blocks otherwise visible light, giving you “pure” UV. You can’t see the light very much at all, unless it is shining onto any materials, fluids and other such things that show up under UV light. It is very bright and has a good range of about 15 feet. This light will work especially well for using a dye to find leaks in mechanical systems: oil, water, ac units. The other lights are also very good, but will show more visible light, so choose what lens type you need for you specific application. The M2-OL or M2-cf might work very good for finding certain minerals in rocks and other things due to having more flood, than the M2-BF, but any of the three could be used.The light seems built well, and good quality. The M2-BF comes with a charging cable, charger, and the battery inside the light.

very good and bright uv light

I am a part of a company that produces medical devices. Some of our products use non woven and adhesives to bind various elements together. The UV consistency of 365nm is almost spot on and the filter on this light is quite good, limiting the amount of white light through that would ultimately reflect. The filter could possibly eliminate more, but I am not a part of Weltool's team of engineering.Prior to using it as a company tool I did test and compare it to a few cheaper uv lights in the home environment. It did quite well spotting and illuminating many subtle details that the lower quality lights missed, granted one was 395nm. I would recommend this uv light for home or industrial use.

The Weltool M2-BF is the real deal. I have another UV light from a popular American company that uses a sst-10-uv led, that I felt was decent, but perhaps lacking. Boy, how right I was. The M2-BF blow it away.
