We all have those boots we really like... I'm no different. But the tread was separating from the main body. The shoe goo allowed me to fix -- and keep using -- those boots.This kit is particularly nice because the tools help spread the goo (and are easily cleanable) and the nozzles are disposable since multiple are included.Not much else I could ask for!

I have a pair of Frye leather sneakers that were fairly expensive, but had some issues with the rubber on the bumpers around the outside of the shoe. In some locations there was some separation, in other locations the top rim of the bumper had cracks. I purchased the black shoe go to repair these issues and went of the plastic tools to help with the process. The plastic tools are okay not great, you could probably do about as well with a disposable plastic utensil (picnic knife.) However, the extra applicator tubes are a must, they are pretty much a one shot item unless you want to spend a lot of time cleaning them. The Shoe Goo itself is a winner, It can be put in cracks, separated areas, etc. and will cure to a solid. If you get any roughness on the surface, you can carefully use a very fine grit sandpaper to smooth it out and if need be put a thin coat over the top. It is workable for a short time after application, but you need to be quick if you want a smooth result.

The rubber sole of my really old pair of Merrell hiking shoes came off and I didnt want to buy a new pair. I purchased this crossing my fingers that it would do the trick... absolutely the best thing I could gave done. I fixed my shoes and several other pairs that my kids had too.

I have an ancient pair of Chuck Taylor high tops that I refuse to part with. This stuff’s pretty much all that’s holding therm together. I’ve tried a few different type show glues over the years and this seems to work the best. This is the first time I’ve bought the “kit”, and honestly thought it’d just be another case of included “accessories” that’d be junk - that’s NOT the case with these. The assorted spatulas worked wonders for getting into the crannies - I actually preferred them over using the slim nozzles. DO read the instructions if you’ve never used this before - the petroleum jelly on the threads is a “must” when re-capping after use.

This is good for certain repairs of sneakers etc. though it's not the best for repairing cracks. It works very well for preventing or repairing excessive wear of heels on sneakers. It takes at least 48 hours to cure well. I got the clear version but it comes in black.It's hard to get the glue out of the tube without breaking the tube (or making a mess) The supplied nozzles are useless. The spreaders are OK but a steel putty knives are much more effective. I'm not convinced that the kit makes sense. Maybe be better to get just the tube.The glue emits very noxious organic vapors/fumes which are unhealthy to breathe, so don't use it inside unless the area is very well ventilated. But regardless of where it is used, it is best to use a mask suitable for organic vapors something like a "3M 07192 Paint Spray Resp. Medium" that can be found on Amazon.

I am using this shoe glue for the first time and I still do not know how it works, but I bought a combo with plastic tips to be able to apply the glue correctly but these tips are not the size of the thread of the glue and it was a disaster, the glue does not work Paste spilled all over the place, I repeat, Paste may work fine but the spikes are not the correct size and I would like a refund for this.

This stuff barely made it out the tube before the entire back end of it broke open and almost went all over my shoes. I was able to salvage what came out the back for this repair but the tube is ruined. Missed my return window. Hopefully they will do something about this.
