MCGARD 24538 Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Lock (1/2"-20 Thread Size) - Set of 5

I bought these wheel lock lugs for my Jeep Wrangler. They fit perfectly and I like that there are 5 so I can lock the spare wheel. They seem very secure and sturdy. They look really good also, will probably have to upgrade the other lug nuts now. There is good documentation and links to websites to register your key in case a replacement is ever required. Happy with my purchase.

I purchased these wheel locks because they were cheaper than the Mopar locks sold by Jeep....and McGard probably makes the Mopar locks. McGard has apparently improved the socket key. This socket key surrounds the lock whereas the socket key for my older wheel locks only fit inside the lock pattern. Shipping was delivery was prompt. I would have given the product 5 Stars but apparently crooks can still defeat the locks by pounding an impact socket on the lock. But, these locks are probably the best protection for your wheels.

Purchased Sept. 3, 2025. These are for a 5'X10' single axle trailer using wheels with 5 lug nuts. Umm, their wheel locks. Once you install them then they do what they say they do! They require that you use the keyed lug nut that comes with your set that then fits perfectly into their design (only one way of course) to tighten or remove your new locking lugnuts. Once installed then your wheels are more protected from being easily stolen. Word of caution, I use anti-seize to help ensure that these, or any other lug nuts for that matter, won't rust onto the wheel studs. Trust me, you never want any lug nuts rusted onto the wheel studs because it's very painstaking and timeconsuming to get them loose again. Also, you only need to install one locking lug nut per wheel. You could go nuts and install all five on one wheel but that's completely unnecessary overkill. I plan on using 2 of the remaining 3 on spare tire mounts once I get those for the trailer. My only complaint is that I wish they were shorter because they are very noticable compared to the other very basic and standard lug nuts. Otherwise, they look good, fit fine, and appear to be made of sturdy and durable materials. I would consider purchasing these again but first, I would search for some that are not as long.

When I bought my Chevy 1500 pickup new these wheel locks came as a dealer installed option. I didn't think much of them, as I don't live in a particularly high crime area and I'm not really worried about people stealing my wheels. I later purchased a brand new Crownline boat with matching trailer, and our summer plans include leaving the truck and trailer unattended for an extended period of time in a storage parking lot. I purchased an additional set of these wheel locks to lock the trailer wheels, as they are a rather expensive set of chrome wheels. They installed easily, and seem like they will do the job. I like that the key socket can be used with a standard lug wrench. The chrome set looks good and matches the chrome wheels on the trailer. It even comes with a locking lug for the spare tire. I'm happy with the purchase and would do it again.

Have had a set of these on my wheels for about a year. Can say with confidence that these are great. I usually change my own tires and have had to take my car to the shop once or twice. So far no complaints about these wheel locks. They're still in great shape despite the crazy weather we've had in Canada over the last year and I don't foresee them giving out randomly. They also have so far threaded very very nicely, despite my studs having some rust. Overall its a quality bolt and is better than any of the other bolts I have on my wheel currently (not just because its a wheel lock). McGard also gives you a code for safekeeping which allows you to order your exact key should you lose it. Pretty handy incase you tend to lose things.

I did search for jeep Wrangler, unfortunately It doesn’t fit for Jeep wrangler!!!!

Ich wollte eigentlich mit McGard meine BBS Felgen vor Diebstahl sichern. Leider ließ sich bei meinen Felgen der Nabendeckel nicht mehr montieren. Ansonsten ein TOP Produkt. Passt aufs Gewinde und einfache Installation.
