SVBONY SV154 Telescope Eyepiece 2 inch Super Wide Angle Eyepiece 70 Degree 26mm Telescope Accessory SWA Eyepiece for Astronomy Observation (2 in)

I compare this to my Saxon 21mm SWA (68 deg).The Saxon definitely has less coma than the Svbony (seen through my f5 dob)! That is pretty much the only complaint I have about the glass in this eyepiece, otherwise the centre of the image is clear and sharp. The outer build quality isn't that high comparable to the Saxon but that doesn't really matter (things like rubbers slightly overhang). Eye relief is fantastic and is great for the price you pay. I am pretty sure that the SV154 is just a carbon copy of the GSO SWA but sadly cannot compare.No regret buying this eyepiece for the price can nearly get the entire of subaru/pleiades into the eyepiece.

Svbony is surprisingly good quality. Solid build and the wide field view is excellent, recommended for sure.

I ordered the15mm 70 degree AFOV version in red for 1.25”. Normally, I use 2” Nagler and Explore Scientific eyepieces, but wanted quality inexpensive eyepieces for lighter weight grab and go telescopes I own. Viewing Saturn, Jupiter, and the moon, this eyepiece performed almost as great as my Explore Scientific. Almost. I could still make out colored bands on Jupiter and the Encke and Cassini divisions on Saturn’s rings. Moon was sharp also in my 8” 1989 model Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain (Meade 2080”. Have not tested on deep sky objects, but will update later when I do.

Quality at a bargain price...what’s not to like? Why pay $50+ more just for a different name to be printed on it? I’d put this and every other Svbony eyepiece against any other brand’s with the same optical design. Meade, Orion, Celestron.......these are right on par and IMO better because of the cost. So glad I discovered Svbony eyepieces....now own a total of 7.... 34 & 26mm 2” along with a 32mm 1.25” and the set of red banded 68deg 1.25” eyepieces. Probably would have half as many with another name on them. All quality and didn’t break my wallet. Thank you for being Svbony!

To start, I would say this eyepiece blew me away. I’m in college and doing astronomy on a tight budge. This eyepiece came exactly as advertised! I own a 12.5” f/5 dobsonian telescope and the views were fantastic. The eyepiece gave a full 70 degree field of view and through my telescope it provided me 1.14 degree true field of view. This allowed me to see large objects like the complete double cluster, M81 and M82, M108 and the owl nebula, and most of Andromeda. It also split the double stars of Mizar and Albireo very nicely. Globular cluster were especially good and I could see individual stars in most of the brighter Messier ones. I could also see the distinct dark lines in M13. Granted I have a telescope with a large aperture which really helps, so keep that in mind. The moon was also amazing! I could get then entire full moon in the eyepiece.Now the down sides to this eyepiece. The edges of the field of view were not as sharp as the center. Stars started to look like comets the father from the center you got. You can kinda see that in the picture of the double cluster I added. However, It wasn’t horrible but definitely noticeable. It’s also quite heavy and I had to readjust my telescopes balance. If you can live with those, this eyepiece is a steal.Overall, this eyepiece is of high quality and my go-to out in the field. Recommending this to anyone on budget looking for amazing and affordable views.
