SHIMANO T610 V-BRAKE FRONT X-TYPE BLACK

There is a reason that top-of-the-line products cost a bit more. These brakes are outstanding! I upgraded my Fuji hybrid with these front and rear. I was able to dial them into perfection, and the stopping power is fantastic. The brake pads that came on them are top of the line and have replaceable pads without replacing the shoes. That is a great feature.

Shimano doesn't skimp on quality despite being reasonably priced. These are great brakes and come with a noodle and bolts. The brake pads supplied are also high quality. Easy to install, the easiest brake to set up and adjust. Stopping power is great, function smoothly with good feel. Not overpriced. They look good.

Easy to install and set up if you have basic bicycle mechanical understanding. If you don’t, lots of great YouTube resources to guide you through the process. Great stopping power from a cantilever break set. Remember, rim brakes ARE disc brakes. If you are building your old 20th century bike frame into a great 21st century freedom machine, put on a set of basic brakes and ride.

I have a slightly odd bike, the SOMA Saga DC (disc and / or cantilever brake). That bike can have Canti and / or disc mixed on the bike. Since I owned front SON generator on rim brake front, I needed Canti up front. They never had any stopping power, almost as if there were no front brakes. Fast forward to today... Installed the Shimano V- Brakes and wow, what a difference! They stop better than the AVID cable disc brake in the rear (although they are pretty good). This is a touring bike and I get into some remote places, so having the brake 'risk' spread around is a good thing... although the Avid and Shimano are both rock solid. A little tricky, but not impossible by any stretch to install them. Just go to YouTube > Park Tools > How to install and adjust V Brakes... and Calvin will walk you through everything. Excellent buy and thank you Shimano for supporting what some might think is an out dated technology (it isn't!).

It's getting tough to find reliable v-brakes anymore now that disc brakes are getting so popular. I replaced the brakes on my OLD mountain bike with these and absolutely love them. The stopping power is incredible and they're very responsive. I bought a second set for my son, and may buy yet another just to keep on hand for when my other son needs an upgrade on his bike.

The brakes are great, what you'd expect from Shimano. The picture is misleading as this is only one set, not both as shown. Not much else to say, they are good brakes, a bit heavy, but that's expected from lower end.

Durch die Abbildung, 2x Deore V-Brake Hebel, wird suggeriert, dass es sich um zwei Paar Bremsen handelt. Es werden eindeutig ein Satz Bremsen für das Vorderrad und ein Satz Bremsen für das Hinterrad abgebildet. Zumal der Preis ja auch entsprechend hoch ist. Aber es kommt nur ein Paar (2 Teile) für nur ein Rad. Das ist für mein Dafürhalten eine Vortäuschung falscher Tatsachen. Daher lieber Finger weg vor allem auch für diesen Preis. Und, sehr, sehr lange Lieferzeit. Da gibt es andere namhafte Hersteller die für den Preis in dieser Größenordnung ein komplettes Set anbieten, für das Vorderrad und das Hinterrad.
