Product very nice quality

I though I was getting a bargain with these as they were a bit cheaper than what I thought to be an identical item bought a few days prior.The problem is one of these devices arrived defective (missing the safety pin that had evidently snapped off prior to packaging), and on closer examination, the chain, which appeared to be more of a decorative chain rather than something designed to take a load, was so weak that I was able to easily snap it with my bare hands - the force needed to snap the chain being less than the force needed to activate the device!All in all, if you felt inclined you could probably fix this if you had some chain and split pins knocking around. For me it was a case of return to sender.

The forming of the mild steel bar is very poor, the machining show's heavy scaring, the mild steel spring retaining washer pin has been cropped and the ends have been left unfinished, it is also bending from the excessive spring pressure and the poor forming of the body, the countersinking has been done with a blunt drill bit instead of a countersinking tool. There is also rust evident on the body.Don't waste your money on this cheaply made piece of rubbish.

the pin isnt going to come out easily so you will need a strong wire /sharp pull

Nothing to dislike, find it very useful would recommend it .
