Backyard Nature Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

I used to buy the Dover coloring books when my kids were bigger for more detailed pictures. Last year, I bought a lot of them for my mom and she was really impressed with the details and the pretty pictures of all the backyard settings in this coloring book. The pictures are more detailed than average. These books also use quality paper and the pictures come to life when you add color to them. I have noticed that these books do best when used with pencils or crayons as pens can bleed to the other side. Dover has a huge assortment of books making it easy to find a subject that will appeal. Most of the books also include informational tidbits on the bottom of the page so they can actually be interesting as well as provide coloring entertainment.Best of all, for the quality, this book and others like it are very reasonably priced, you can order several for around 20 dollars and have a nice variety.

My father in his 70’s uses these coloring books. He had a stroke and enjoys coloring, to exercise his hand. He likes the end result; it’s not a junky kids coloring book!

Each picture has an explanation beneath of what the creature is, where it lives, and other details. Some drawings are better than others for coloring. There are pictures on both sides of each page, so if you want to display them, you have to decide which side.

I bought several coloring books through amazon that are more detailed and better suited for the coloring-loving adult. These type of detailed books work best with colored pencils. I prefer pencils over crayons most of the time anyways, because there is less mess when sharpening. I still enjoy coloring in the little kid type of coloring books with crayons on occasion, but I love these more detailed books. Coloring is a great way to relax or distract yourself when recovering from an illness or surgery.

Who knew that smart 30 young women would find coloring to be creative and relaxing. Surprise, they do! Check out 02/15's Reader's Digest. p82. The books in this series are G-rated adult focused.. They are relaxing and with a set of colored pencils provide hours of calm.

I liked the pictures they had for coloring. I purchased it for a basket in a basket raffle for the Audubon society.

Love the product, especially the page that gives descripton of the birds so one can get the color right.

It would be nice if the pages were perforated near the spine so I could remove them from the book. Otherwise, it is a really good book.

Arrived and well packaged. Lovely colouring book and hours of fun completing the wonderful nature drawings. Good price. Recommended to friends and family.

Bought for my mum who used to watercolour paint but is now unable. She loves the pictures and quality of this book and spends hours colouring it.

Attracted by cover thinking more of same . Picture not included rest dissapointing

Very nice book. The quality of the line drawings is excellent. The written descriptions at the foot of each page are a very useful addition. This was bought as a present and the recipient was very pleased with it.
