I bought these to replace my existing set after the pepper shaker broke. Both the salt and pepper shaker had small chips on them despite being packed fairly well. I was able to fix the damage with a marker but was still disappointed. Price is also higher than what I remember paying originally for these when purchased from World Market.

These pair have served better as decorations in my Mexican themed kitchen rather than actually holding ingredients. One reason, is that loading them is challenging due to the fact the it pours out as it is being filled, which poses as a challenge and annoyance. They also don't have very much volume, refilling would happen often in this house. I do enjoy the colors, they are thick, and the paint seems to be superior. They are clever and cute, just not of good use.

I originally saw these in a restaurant, and thought they were so adorable, so I had to purchase my own set. They arrived in perfect condition and are beautiful! The quality is excellent, and they appear to be hand-painted porcelain.
