Q: I feel like the soles make these look cheap.

The soles are well made and wear well. I've had mine for well over a year and they show very little wear. Mine are black, but I'll buy another pair if the need arises.

Q: is it really 1.6 ounce weight??!!

I have these and, while they are very light and very good shoes, 1.6 oz is laughable. Go back and look at Amazon's data for this shoe -- package size at 1" x 1" x 1" and shipping weight at 1.6 oz for a pair of leather shoes. Clearly a mistake in the data, UNLESS your feet are each a little less than 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/2" and Clarks makes a pair that size. THEN it may well have a 1.6 oz shipping weight for that size.
