Perfect fit, perfect working. Comes with spare bolts, screw driver and a soft transport bag. Good deal for money and the right size for my mac hard drive

great when connected directly, fast data transfer via usb 3
Worked well when connected directly or via the expensive 1-to-1 usb3 to usb-c apple connector. Couldn't make it work reliably with a multi-port usb to usb-c connector to a macbook.used it to transfer data from a crashed laptop with ssd. Once you have the connection stable, usb 3 works great and data transfer is fast.

Upgraded the ssd drive in a macbook air and used this enclosure along with carbon copy cloner to copy my info onto the new ssd.Worked flawleesly and very quickly great product!

The quality and price was great compared to other brands
The quality and price was great compared to other brands. The only reason I didn't rate 5 star was the looseness of the SSD. The only foam to secure the SSD was on the small cover. I added a small foam to both ends and placed just under the main board. This solved the loose drive.

Does not work with Macbook Pro USB3 w/ OS 10.13.6 ?
Seriously, does not even recognize on the Macbook 2014. I got this for a 6+12 SSD out of a dead Macbook Air 2011 and my Windows laptop recognizes the 256G SSD, sees both partitions, can't mount them, but they're there.Nothing happens on the MacBook Pro 2014, it sees USB3 NAND keys fine, and a USB2 SATA HDD box and other misc USB peripherals, just not the ASM1153E chip/firmware in this adaptor. You'd expect something that only works with Apple 2011 6+12 SSD to have firmware to work with Apple OS.

Nice cheap enclosure for MacBook air 2011.
I love this. I recovered my Mac air hard drive using this because my Mac air crashed. Couldn't turn on, makes the three beeping sound. Found out I have to bake it a little. I used this temporarily to retrieve some files. Nice cheap enclosure for MacBook air 2011. Thx

Great for the price
Works a as described. Great build quality it has an aluminum case. Chip connection fits snug and reads the ssd properly. Definitely worth the price comes with 4 extra screws in case you strip one removing it
