Easy purchase for ease of mind.
Worked great and was simple to set up out of the box. It worked great for taking care of my grandmother during her time. Was able to adjust motion sensors to watch the floor and her crossing her bed edge before she could move off her bed at night.Bright, tons of different tones, amazing amount of modes and you could add additional units for monitoring.

This has been a real help in our home.
This is a great product. Elderly father-in-law lives with us. He is a high fall risk and has dementia. Wanted something that would alert us when he sat up on the edge of his bed in the night before trying to stand and walk to the bathroom. We put it on the floor under his bed. It worked perfect. The alarm part is portable so my husband sleeps with it by his night stand. It has adjustable volume level so you can set it for whether you are a light or heavy sleeper to wake you up at the first movement of patient. Also, because it is portable when his Dad lays down in the afternoon my husband brings it with him to the living room while he watches TV so he is always aware of what his Dad is up to. The only modification I made to the motion detector for our use was that the visual area was wide so even after my husband got his Dad up it would continue to detect motion when they got out of the room and into the hall. Because my father-in-law moves slowly the alarm would go off numerous times. By putting a piece of masking tape over the lens on the area on the side by the hall I was able to restrict the motion pick up to the area where he put his feet over the bed and once my husband was helping him toward the hall the alarm would stop. Also, nice is there are many choices for alarm sounds/songs.

Great for Monitoring the Elderly and Children
This sensor was fantastic. I purchased it to place under my elderly mother's bed after she had suffered a bad fall. It alerted me as soon as she hung her feet off the bed. No more sleepless nights worrying she'd get up without my help. Unfortunately, we only had it for a few days before she passed. But, it definitely worked as described. You can easily adjust the sensitivity and coverage area. And, the plug-in alarms worked perfectly when placed in rooms far away from the sensor, including multi-level homes. I wish I'd had this 20 years ago for the toddler who regularly woke up at 3am feeling mischievous!

Oops Alert! No on/off indicator on the receiver
For four months, I've been successfully using this alarm to alert me when my elderly grandmother gets out of bed. It is affordable, basic, and does the job. This morning, we had an incident where she was out of bed without my knowledge, which prompted me to write this review. The main problem with the receiver is that there is no indication of whether it is on or off. Because the alarm is very loud and annoying even at the lowest setting (like I keep it under two pillows to smother the sound at night and it still wakes me) and also to keep from disturbing my partner, I always turn it off while I help her to the toilet and then get her back in bed. I've remembered to turn it back on hundreds of times, but this morning, I forgot. (I'm sure other caregivers can relate to the effects of interrupted sleep on brain function!) I'm in here making breakfast, thinking the alarm is on, but it isn't. There is no toggle switch or indicator light on the receiver, no way to tell by looking at it whether it is on or off. The only way to know for sure is by pressing the power button to see which noise it makes; the noise it makes turning off is different from the sound of it turning on. Wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to see a light or look at the toggle switch in an obvious location? While I'm here, there are a few other things I do not like about the alarm. There is nothing intuitive about the buttons. You will have to read the instructions. There are four buttons, same size and shape, two on each side, right next to each other, which are the volume control, on/off, and menu to change the sound. It isn't always easy to find the on/off button in the middle of the night in the dark when all the buttons are the same. How about a snooze feature that turns it off for 10 minutes and restarts it (I don't even know if that exists, but it would be ideal!). Also, there are somewhere close to 700 different annoying sounds to choose from and three that are acceptable, and Lord help you if you hit the wrong button and change the sound. You'll scroll for days to get back to the sound you can tolerate. For the price, it works okay, but I'll be looking for a better option.

Worth every Penny
Bought this to use for my dad who is now in a hospital bed. Due to having several falls, we make sure someone is with him around the clock, this allows us to be able to do things in the house without having to stay in the same room while he is sleeping. The alarm sounds and gives us plenty of time to get to him before he tries to stand up. Also has been a great alarm to allow us to sleep without the fear of him getting up in the middle of the night and falling without us knowing he is even up.

This is a LIFESAVER.
This has been a LIFESAVER!!! My 94 year old mother has fall issues and getting up at night has been a nightmare for me. I have put this at the side of her bed and when her feet start to dangle the alarm is set off in my bedroom. I bought an expensive Vtech machine and this works even better. I’m so grateful that I found this on AMAZON. I would highly recommend this.

Great product
This is a fabulous product. If anything, it's too sensitive, but as another purchaser suggested, you can tape a piece of paper over part of the sensor so it doesn't pick up too much movement. The lights are pretty and there are many, many choices of songs so you can find something that will wake you up the way you want to be awakened.
