Everything is sorted by the Latin name not the common name. Slows down research.

I have not read the entire book yet.What I have read is good information.My wife likes it also easy to understand.

This is a good reference for woods. Actually when combined with the online database it is a lot easier to be able to identify woods. The more I work with the book, the more I like it.

even if you are not into the technical aspects of wood working and the properties of the different woods,this book is well worth having.The data is available on line,but this is SO much easier to use.Love it so much I bought three copies .... one for myself and two to give away.

The content of this book is great. This is why I purchased it. However, the printing quality is poor with many pages upside down and cutting edges. See the photos. I had to return this book. Very disappointed with this purchase of mine.
