I do Qi gong & Taichi practice & this is my choice of adopting other ways to teach peoples, how/why/what to do having/using balls to control movements.....etc, one-easier ways. so I got the products & I will tell more about it after I use/learn/practice them. I have been doing it but I like Dr Yang's teachings.

***I didn't purchase this as a set; only the book and DVDs without the wood ball***I'm a real skeptic when it comes to "ancient secrets" because most folks are simply snakeoil salemen, but Dr. Yang is a true scholar. With due reverence, he explains the history of the topic at hand along with the practical applications. Unlike most martial arts teachers, he actually show detailed anatomical drawings as to how the body reacts. He also gets points for using the original Chinese characters and provide detailed translations.This is truly a useful tool for a deeper exploration into tai chi.

Amazing way to practice tai chi and get some exercise. The ball helps keep your hands uniform so you can perfect the other aspects of your form. I love the ball and DVDs.
