Stronger magnets work great!
I turned a potion of garage into game room and use backdrops on door with magnets instead of backdrop stand to blend with theme. Sometimes I need to lower them but door is not metal just frame. This tape worked perfectly. I wished it was a little stronger because small magnets would slide down. Using middle size magnet (30 lbs) worked perfectly. Will buy again. Like the white blending with my door and cushioned. I do recommend this.

Lots of potential uses, but only about 1/2 as attractive to magnets as steel is.
It works, but will take about 2x the amount / number of magnets than if it were a strip of real steel. That's not necessarily a drawback, but it's important to know going into one's project. It's a trade off between the inflexibility and relative difficulty of working with solid steel vs the flexibility and ease of this product. It is a white, metallic like strip that is easily rolled / unrolled. It’s not solid, real steel. It is some mixture/alloy with ferrous material in it somehow. It has thin adhesive foamy tape on one side that adheres to the tape well, and then, after removing protective cover, to objects. I’ve tried on wood, metal, and plastic, and it works well on all.Pros:FlexibleStrongAdhesive side works well sticking to things & is convenientHas a virtually invisible scratch protection film on the facing side, but is easily removable once you get it started. Optional to leave it on or not.I cut mine with a pair of tin snips, but could probably be cut with scissors.I can think of many applications this could be used for.Cons:About 1/2 as attractive to magnets as real steel.(It took two N52 Neodymium magnets on this to hold fast the same weight that one would on solid steel appliance).===========Test your magnet(s) you'll use with it on your fridge / washing machine / other steel. With this as your mounting surface, you'll need about twice the amount of magnet contact to achieve the same results.

Use Within Reason
I have a Galaxy Book that comes with an S Pen that's magnetic for sticking to the laptop. Thing is, I don't always want it there, and was looking to put some metal strips in hidden spots around my desk to keep it secure. This works perfectly! The adhesive is plenty sticky for my needs, and the S Pen has a really strong magnet, so no issues with it sticking to the metal. I have this stuck to the underside of a couple of shelves and it work great. I even stuck some of the thin scrap pieces in different spots because it works so well, I don't really need much. I also like that I can easily cut it with a scissors, which I was concerned about.I do have a few notes though. If you have issues with the magnets sliding off, make sure you take the plastic film off of the front. The protective plastic is slick and removing it reveals a more matte texture. Also this will only work as well as what kind of magnets you have, kind of like how some fridge magnets work better than others. If it's still sliding, neodymium magnets are cheap on Amazon or even just at your local hardware store. Then as far as the adhesive goes, I didn't have issues, but I will say that I've never liked foam adhesive in general. It's very easy to pull at the wrong bit trying to get the film off and end up pulling the foam off itself. Be careful! Once you get the film off though, it's plenty sticky.Honestly great product all around.

Slippery, even without the protective film
I am using a strip the same size as my magnetic remote case to hold it vertical, but it keeps falling off. I removed the film, as suggested by the instructions to no great effect. Mediocre. Beware of the sharp corners!

Office convenience
Works as advertised. To save desk space, I attached a tissue box holder with a magnetic side to the underside of by standing desk with the help of this metal tape. Very strong stick and hold. Very easy to use. Great price.

Too thin
For my purposes the metal is way too thin. Magnets do not hold with any strength.

Highly effective
Sticky side is highly adhesive, metal side easily sticks to magnets. It is sharp, so just be cautious.
