Some have said that the cotton material is thinner than in the past. Any comments on this?

Cotton material feels really thin versus the ones in the past. Concerned that it will not last as long through the washes.

Are these specifically the waist size ( e.g. 38) listed, and not a range size like 38-40, or 36-38?

The Men's Classic Brief is sized in numeric sizing 32, 34, 36, ect...
