USB cable came with opener and charged within a few hours. Used the blade to tear off the covering of the cork and it did cut it quite nicely. The corkscrew went nicely into the wine cork and in less then 10 seconds, the cork was out. No strength or struggling required to remove the cork. We have been purchasing those rabbit ear cork screw removers and for some reason, those don't last us a long time or did not do a good job removing the cork in one piece. There would be pieces of cork left behind and floating debris in the wine. Yuk! With this electric corkscrew opener, somehow, it smoothly goes down the cord, and then a click of the button, the cord is removed out. No struggling and hoping that pieces of cork are left behind.

Purchased as a gift for my wife. The mechanical one we had before kept pushing the corks down in the wine bottle. This one works flawlessly. Easy to use, easy to charge. Would recommend it.

Attempted to replace battery in older different company wine opener. Even U Tube could not help. So I purchased a new one from Amazon. This one comes with foil cutter and wine stopper. Big bonus this unit is EZ to recharge and will not have to replace a dead battery for quite a few years I would guess.

I gifted a similar battery operated cork screw to my Mom several years ago and was always jealous when visiting and 'getting' to use it vs. the manual ones I had to use at my house.I purchased this item about 6 months ago and am just now recharging the battery.The feature I like most about this cork screw is the fact that the screw is always centered in the middle of the cork which allows for a straight and simple retraction. Well, that and the fact that ergonomically it saves on my wrist turning and cranking with a manual type opener.
