Love it!I can’t say enough about it. I use it for my dog he’s over 80 pounds and very heavy and stubborn to move away from a spot if he doesn’t want to. I don’t know that I would reccommend for dogs that mess with things though. My dog is not hyper active, and wouldn’t want to mess with the gate, he simply just need a barrier to remind him from going upstairs.I love that it is retractable and I fixed so wont have to deal with wood gates or going over it because of the hassle of opening it. I also didn’t needed anything heavy duty and actually would have hated the look. I like it that it can just stay one with a simplicity if I have guests over.This gate is awesome. Love the easy one push button to remove gate from installment socket and the extra hooks and installation parts socket they send us; so I could use easily use same gate in different rooms if I wanted to and install the extra parts at a different door way. it took a little patience to install it because my baseboards are thick in one side and the other was stairs molding but they also add risers from the way if bottom and top is uneven, only wish there were more of them. .I simply also love this gate in particular. In my job they have retracted gates but the lock features is annoying. This one is super easy it’s the round large top of gate you just push it down and turn clockwise to lock it. Loved the merchant discount. Initially almost $55 bucks but came under 48 dollars. Thank you!!

I nanny a couple days a week and bought this on the recommendation of the child's parents. This gate is toddler proof, as long as you make sure you lock it! She leans on it and has even grabbed on the top and hung on it! That is why I recommend making sure it is locked. Because if it isn't, the child can fall when they lean on the gate. I believe that's why it was designed with a lock. So using it as designed works great.I also have three dogs in the house. A Jack Russell mix, a border Collie mix, and a German Shepherd / Great Dane mix. This works perfect for the border Collie. The Jack Russell however can crawl underneath it. I can't blame him for being smart and doing what his breed does! My big boy likes to rest his head on the mesh. As I stayed before, make sure the gate is locked. If not I learned that the small dog crawling under and the big dog laying his head on it will knock the gate off the bracket and it will snap back to the wall.I think it was very smart for the designer to send two sets of hook brackets. We have the gate set up on a corner so I can have brackets in two doorways. It works great to either block off the one room we're in or block off the hallway.My conclusions here are that if the gate is used as designed, it works fantastically. It keeps toddlers and dogs in / out of the room.10/10 recommend

This gate works great. We have it at the bottom of some stairs to keep a little one off the stairs. The gate was easy to install and is easy to manipulate. The locking mechanism is nice so it stays tight and you can't open the gate.The only draw back are the mounting screws that come with it. They are the cheapest screws they could find and the heads break off easily. Predrilled holes and a couple of them snapped off. I wish I would have used other screws.

We really like these gates. Have them at the top and bottom of both sets of stairs in our house. After having them for a couple of months now, our only issue is with the dry wall anchors they provided in the packaging. I’d highly recommend getting heavier duty anchors before mounting giving the constant pulling on the gate. Our came loose out of the wall pretty quickly but we’re able to solve with better anchors.

So, my dog is a sorcerer. Being the clever little chi/pug that she is, she has been able to find her way in and out of most everything. After spending $75 on gate I was certain would fix my problem I came home from work to discover she had found a way through it. Pretty sure she laughed at me. Having just had new carpet installed downstairs and on the stairs themselves I was desperate for something I could place at the top of the stairs to keep her from going downstairs unaccompanied. This gate was quick and easy to install, with extra parts you can attach somewhere else too, if you want to remove and replace elsewhere. It's tall enough for my needs and when closed does not leave much of a gap at the bottom at all which might encourage determined kids or pups to attempt to slide under. Because it's retractable when it's not in use it is not bulky or obtrusive at all which I like. Best part? Though I've had less than a week, so far my little sorcerer has been entirely unsuccessful in getting past it which makes this purchase more than worth it! Whose laughing now, little girl? 😂😂

So we have had this for less than a month and at first I was in love. It worked AMAZING for the job intended but all of a sudden not when I open the gate it doesn’t roll all the way in anymore. It gets stuck no matter what I do. Unless I was to sit there slowly opening it while flattening it with another hand constantly then it’ll eventually roll in. On top of that issue when I got it to roll in finally I eventually needed to put the gate back closed so my young kids couldn’t get into an area with stairs a piece of the material ripped. It’s still useable but I don’t think for much longer and I’m definitely not happy. Waste of money imo

This works great for what I needed it for. Living in the country not all woodland critters are welcome.So far this has done the job and looks great.

Install was awful and the instructions are not clear. The cutouts provided to guide drilling holes was wildly inaccurate by about two inches. THEN the screws included were so cheap that they broke off inside the wall damaging it…. Overall would NOT recommend. Further, the film is so flimsy that a persevering toddler could easily push underneath.
