How do I use the EWK Cylinder Hone Tool perperly?

Keep the hone aligned parallel to the cylinder wall during operation. Avoid using it at steep angles, as this can cause uneven pressure on the arms and may damage the tool.

What precautions should I take?

Do not extend the stones more than 3/4 inch outside the cylinder. Also avoid running the hone for longer than 3 minutes to prevent excessive wear.

What drill speed should I use?

Set the drill to clockwise rotation only. Do not use reverse (counterclockwise). For best results, operate the drill at a low speed of 300–700 RPM.

Do I need to lubricate during using?

Yes. Apply honing oil before starting to lubricate the contact area between the stones and the cylinder. During operation, add oil as needed to maintain lubrication and help protect the cylinder surface while extending the tool’s lifespan.

How do I maintain the tool after use?

Clean metal debris from the stones and shaft, wipe off oil and residue with a clean cloth, and dry the tool completely to help prevent rust.
