Goldwell Stylesign Ultra Volume Lagoom Jam

I was a little disappointed when I opened the jar because the product shifted to one side. Once I moved it around it looks like it was full again. But you only need a little bit and this will smooth the edge to no return. I’m a bit nervous because it is holding a bit too well. I keep touching my hair and looking in the mirror. I see no flaking and the smoothness is still there, although it is stiff where I over applied it. Great product! My search for the best gel stops here!

Have been using this gel for years, no greasy gooey feeling, no crispy dryness, no flakiness. Feels soft and full. I use about a teaspoonful after I wash my hair, work it through my hair, and dry and style as usual. You can use it in dry, damp, or wet hair. Holds my style for several days until I shampoo again. In fact all Goldwell products are top notch! My hairdresser uses only Goldwell hair colors, this gel, and Goldwell mousse...the best my hair has ever looked!

I have 4C hair and had been using Ebin for a long time but the residue was becoming a bit much and it was causing my hair to gray faster than other edge controls. Jai Mari mentions this product in her YouTube videos so I figured I’d try it. It works pretty good and it does not leave my edges feeling hard. The product has a jello like feel and it isn’t sticky at all. I’ve been using it on fairly hot days but I haven’t tested it’s ability to hold being outside all day on an extremely hot day. That would be the real test. I usually wear an edge scarf for 15 mins when I use it as it helps to maintain the hold. I’ve noticed that the longer you wear an edge scarf with edge control the better the hold. I also did not have to reapply this product on day 2 because my edges still had a bit of a hold, not super slick but enough that I didn’t feel like I needed to “slay” my edges for the day. My only gripe is it’s such a small container so I’ll definitely be taking my time using it. I did not purchase the larger container because some reviews said that it turns gummy after a while but I have not experienced this as I’ve only had it for a short time. I will be purchasing a container for my sorority sister.

I first learned about this product from jai marii on YouTube. It has great hold. Be careful about mixing other products with it because it can get flaky. I will definitely be purchasing it again.

Been using this for 7 years. I have tried other product but most of them have heavy scent. This gel has light scent. Great for thick hairs. Stays sturdy for a long time, except when it rains or if you are doing intense workout. Sometimes the gel makes my hair too hard. To prevent that from happening, I can dilute the gel with a little water and mix it. The amount of gel that I use is just a dab that thinly covers the fingerprint of my index finger. And then splash it with water.

It’s an 7.5 out of 10! It holds Edges well and I have 4c/4b hair all day when I need a medium hold it does flake and turns hair hard when using too much

I have been using this product for years. I rock a spikey pixie cut with very thick hair. This product is the foundation of my style. I rub it into the roots while my hair is wet. Let air dry for a bit and finish off with the blow dryer. This is the only product I’ve found that lifts my heavy hair. It has no scent which I appreciate. I do wish it came in a smaller size because as it dries out it becomes gummy. If it came in a smaller size I would use it up before the gummy part would start. I think it is expensive for a gel and if I could find something as effective I would not spend this much. I have tried many other products and always return to this one.
