Worked well, had to get poles replaced
My first set of poles would not lock, they just spun around and around. I contacted seller and they sent me two new poles, so they were great, I did not have to return the defective ones. The new poles did lock in place after turning. One pole locked in the opposite direction of what the arrow showed. But I didn't care, just glad that it did lock.I finally had enough snow to try them out today. I wear a size 8.5 hiking boot. I had to tighten the strap on back of snow shoe all the way to the last hole. I don't know how people with smaller feet are able to wear them. As others said, it ends up with a big long excess plastic strap with nowhere to put it. I kind of made a loop and stuck it into the clip on back So had a big loop on the back but at least it was out of the way. Thinking i may cut it shorter or find something to clip it to the shoe somehow. Can't imagine why a woman's snow shoe would have such a long strap. To me 8.5 is not a tiny size shoe. So this was the only thing that bothered me about them, since my pole issue was resolved. The shoes and poles worked great in the snow today. I walked for over an hour And they stayed on tight. And I did like having the bag to bring the shoes back home in since they were covered in snow. So for the price i feel like they are fine.

I returned this item
Upon unboxing the item, the bag strap broke further investigation indicated that the heel riser bracket would not be suitable for the max intended payload of the snowshoes for long term use. We only take a handful of trips each year however they are long duration trips to remote areas and I would hate to give them as a gift and have my girlfriend be forced to struggle back that sort of distance in the conditions we trek. I ended up purchasing a pair of MSR snow shoes and spent a little bit more money. These would probably be fine for short local trips on gentle terrain not carrying 150 lbs maxing out the carrying capacity but I didn’t trust them for the back country. That being said there were a decent amount of positive reviews for these.

Love the looks and the grips
Haven't used them yet as our snow melted away!!! Love the looks and the grips, will be fantastic for ice under snowpack like we have experienced in Southern Maine this year. I did take them to work, we snowshoe trails with an adventure group. My team was very impressed. My shoe size is a 7 1/2 and does not quite reach the heel rest which is the only draw back for my size foot with these shoes. I'm not worried about it cuz it's an extra feature I'll probably never need.

Keep your poles twisted tight to keep the length locked.
I love the exercise I get with them and how easy it is to put them on. I had a little problem with one pole, you have to make sure it is well tightened or when you pull it out of the snow, it can come apart. It is easily fixed, but I had to wait ‘til I got home to fix it.

Perfectly good beginner snowshoe
Perfectly good beginner snowshoe. Fit my small foot pretty well but had a lot of extra strap I wasn't sure what to do with because I have to go so tight. Poles were fine. Went just over 3 miles with no issues. Price dropped significantly right after I ordered which is upsetting.

Overall very good quality, and great value
Overall very good quality, and great value! My only complain was that it was hard to adjust the length of the poles, and let them stay adjusted.

They work great in the snow here in Alaska
I wear a size 7 shoe/boot and have to use the tightest/smallest settings on the bindings in order to keep them on my feet. They work great in the snow here in Alaska!

Why pay more when these do it all.
Took them out for my first trip. Worked great! Would definitely recommend them to others.
