Easy to write in, quality paper and binding
I have used this journal for over two decades and it’s still my journal of choice.

Very nice leather
Excellent, high quality journal. The leather is exceptional. Excellent binding, on it. Book will not lay flat open but that's because the binding is so good

Perfect
I love these. They are expensive, but extremely well-made, bound in leather, with perfectly ruled and gilded pages sewn in signatures, and in just the right size (8” x 5-5/8” x 1/2”) for me. There is a satin boookmark to round out the package.

A place to record those timeless moments, memories or ideas.
I've used this particular type of journal for a number of years having first purchased my first one at Barnes and Noble years ago. However, the last time I looked at Barnes and Noble, I didn't see them in stock so I came on here and bought them online. As for the product itself there are a number of reasons I am a repeat purchaser:- Consistent Styling - As someone who has kept a journal for a number of years, it becomes nice after a certain point to be able to buy identical journals. Everything looks consistent instead of having a menagerie of different books. Buying from a journal maker who has been in business a long time and produces a quality product, helps to ensure that.- Paper Size - I've tried smaller journals but honestly if your going to do a fair amount of writing I think it is better to use a larger journal. I think it makes writing easier. Your hand rests on the page better, you have to turn pages less, and there are less interruptions to your training of thought.- Materials - Using a leather bound journal on acid free paper means that your thoughts and ideas are probably going to be around as long as you are, if not longer.- Presentation - I personally think the leather binding, the gold leafing and the cloth page marker make for a classy appearance. Whenever I writing in my journal I feel like it is a special experience. In terms of downsides I don't think that there are much and if there are they would be mostly a matter of personal preference. Here is a couple that I could think of:- Presentation - As a guy I love the look and feel of leather, but it is definitely masculine. If you were a woman, you might prefer something with a bit more feminine look and feel.- Size - I mostly use mine as a desk journal. However, if you are someone who takes their journal with them and space or size is a concern, then this might not be the journal for you.- Other - I don't know, I'm probably reaching here but other journals I have had in the past have had clasps and things like that. If those are something that you need or want, this might not perfectly suite your needs. At anyrate, I have been and I am fully satisfied with my purchase and I think that you will be to if you decide to buy one (with the caveats mentioned above). It is a product that I would definitely recommend.

A high quality journal
Writing in this leather-bound journal is a pleasure. Have written on about 11 pages front and back in it so far.The off-white, lined paper is of very good quality, and is easy on the eyes. The leather cover is thick and sturdy.I have been using a uni-ball signo 207 ultra micro gel ink pen when writing in it, and there has been no bleed through with it. Just very briefly did I use a fountain pen, and there was bleed through then, so I did stop writing with that particular type of pen.The spacing of the lines on each page is somewhere between college-ruled width and regular-ruled width. There are approximately 190 pages to write on, if you are writing on both the front and the back of each page.It appears to be bound well. It states within that it is bound in the U.S.A., and printed in Korea. There is a ribbon marker sewn into the binding. The ribbon marker extends a little over three inches from the base of the journal when closed.A personal data page is provided in the very back for your name and contact information.Am so pleased with this journal that I have already bought a second in the color Kiwi, just to shake thing up. :-)The cost of the journal is a bit much, but I am not going to deduct a star for that. The page dimensions are 7 3/8 inches by 9 1/2 inches. The overall dimensions are 7 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches by 1/2 inch.If you are searching for a journal that appears will last, I recommend that you look no further. Thanks for reading, and happy journaling!

*Great* journal for the price. I've bought 3.
This is one of those products which I knew what I was getting, and was thrilled I could find it on Amazon. May I say, just buy it?This is for the Acadia Green. The color I received was darker than it appears on my computer screen. It is just fine, though, with me. You can still tell it is green. But if it were the Navy, I could see where people would have said it may as well have been black.I bought one of these (but black) from a brick & mortar Barnes & Noble in 2011 for my notes for a board I'm on.The cover is very nice. The gilding on the page edges when it is new is perfect, much like a bible with gilded pages. I use a lamy fountain pen with mine. The Artic Blue ink in a very fine point doesn't feather or bleed through. So many notebooks' papers bleed and feather. The pages are large. The paper color is an easy-on-your-eyes ivory. The binding is first class. If you break this in properly, it should last you your entire life. The paper is acid free; there's no reason this shouldn't be available to look at in 500 years as long as it doesn't get wet. Do choose a nice pen & ink.I love it. Just buy it? Pick your color and buy it.

LOVE there’s journals and their super high quality
I have been using Gallery Leathers journals for a few years now and I can say they are of the highest quality and plan on using them for years to come! The pages are smooth and thick with gold gilding. The leather is super durable, I take mine everywhere and they still look brand new, and I have never had any of my products from them break or tear even with heavy use. Both hard cover and soft cover work great.I love that they are family owned and American made!10/10 would recommend.
