I'm a huge fan of these little internal filters (5-10G) due to their ability to provide a strong flow. Not everyone pairs a nano tank with a betta. If you do, you perhaps want to look for a filter with less flow. Otherwise, these Nicrews are reliable and powerful to be very effective. Super quiet as well.

Best and most powerful small filter I’ve owned so far. I’ve had one for over three years and still runs great and recently ordered another one for my five gallon planter tank. Cheapest and longest lasting filters I’ve used. Easy enough to clean and love the way it disperses the water coming out, not too powerful to stir the fish around but enough movement to keep the water clear

It’s a good little filter! It cleared up cloudy water within a few hours. The only thing is that it has a strong current. I have it in a 5 gallon and I have to face the water outlet directly against the glass, otherwise the fish are surfing a storm

I love these. I bought one for my beta tank. Its perfect amount of power (too much and your beta cant relax in their water) i aim it up and it filters the water perfectlyi love that i can put whatever filter media i want in it and it all fits inside. Its reliable. I love them so much they are in every tank in my house. 4 so far and it works great with every tank.They are also easy to clean and replace the media.

7/17 after one night of use.I have this in a 29-gallon tank. the filtration feels like it might be stronger than it is suggested, and the suction cups are actually very powerful my turtle can't move the filter or spray bar at all, however it is louder than I would like to be. I can hear the vibrating (humming) of the tank that is in my kitchen, with my door closed and the side of the glass it is suctioned cup to I can feel vibrating to the touch, not sure if this will stress out my turtle or not. Will provide an update in a week..

This filter works great as a filter plus aeration for my aquarium. It's not overpowering. My Betta fish even played in it! After buying & returning so many different products to get my aquarium hobby going, I've learned to go straight to NICREW. The media could not be loaded. by far one of the best filters, my fish can swim right under without getting sucked in and it cleared my water up very very fast. I also like the multiple nozzles and the fact that it comes with a built-in air pump, and the bubbles are very nice and filter is not too loud. The only thing I do is turn the bubbles off for bed as they can be a little noisy, but they are not too bad. Would definitely recommend for a 10 gallon. It’s very affordable and reliable and small and sleek, very easy to stick in the corner of your tank

I am going to eat crow here- I gave them a poor rating based on a question I asked or at least I thought I asked - Their response was exactly the answer to my question. Regardless, the product is great, I just have to clean it more often than I would like - I cant find anywhere to get the charcoal replacement packs and thats what I wanted to ask - but I just asked HOW do I change it ... These are tough filters and kick out a lot of water. Worth the price.
